I used these as vents at the bottom of a new bathroom vanity I had just installed. The air duct was in the floor at the far left side under the vanity. I built a frame that diverted the air toward the front of the vanity which had an opening about 30" long at the floor but too narrow vertically for a standard small vent cover. I used a black board and drilled 1 1/2" holes spaced evenly, spray painted all six little round vents black and put them in the holes (no glue or screws needed, and secured the board just behind the front "legs" of the vanity. The vents are unnoticeable, which was the goal. It looks fabulous and works great!

They work just fine. The included screens are great. The 2 inch model does not include that.

When I need a vented opening in a little box for gadgets, a bird house, or subdued lighting these are my go-to vents. They look great and are a snap to install. Just get a forstner bit of the appropriate size and drill a hole, and boom, instant professional looking results.

I purchased these to use as ventilation for a composter I built out of some 2x6 cedar lumber. They worked great for that purpose.I choose these because they have a screen wire behind the louvers.I just drilled a 1.5" hole on each side of the frame and pushed these into place. They probably would have stayed in lace without it, but I went ahead and added a couple of #4 wood screws to be sure they wouldn't come out.
