Looks very nice and feels pretty good quality but the first thing is that it adds quite bit of additional width - about 1mm too much on each side - nail-biters will struggle to hit mute in a hurry. 1mm doesn't sound like a lot but make a big difference, especially when considering the main issue.The case is EXTREMELY slippery. I dropped it and the phone whilst putting the case on (fortunately on the sofa), then almost dropped it on first hold. My wife almost dropped on her first look as did my sister who has an X in an admittedly cheaper and less robust and less fancy case (which is fine as she's less likely to drop it!). This afternoon I actually dropped it and only a well placed foot saved it from a proper heavy floor contact.I've only had it on the phone 2 days and decided i'll get another case. It is a liability, and a £1,200 phone deserves better.What looks like a rubbery tyre tread pattern is quite hard and slippery - almost tricking you into holding it for traction. Problem is that because you then know it's so slippery you compensate in how you hold it and then your hand aches - and I have big hands. Final straw is that the shiny metal phone it self is easier and less slippery to hold. That cannot be right. Shame as it looks nice.EDIT - Jan 2020. Didn't bother changing the case in the end, but adjusted for slipperiness. I write to report that the phone took an almighty tumble out of the window of my rented 4x4 whilst on holiday and my rear wheel is likely to have rolled over it also. The case has bust as a result, BUT the phone is unscathed so I've added a star. Will still get a different case though.

So bought this Spigen Neo Hybrid case for my iPhone XS back in March 2020. I have had a good experience with previous cases from the manufacturer and bought on the strength of the brand.Initially the case worked well with good protection for the camera on the back and the raise lip for the screen. My wireless charger next to my bedside also worked through the case.There was however one fatal flaw; the case is slippery like a bar of soap with rounded smooth sides that offer zero grip. I found myself having to support the phone with my little finger underneath to stop it dropping out of my hand. In addition the buttons on the side protrude which makes standing the phone on its long edge for hands free viewing quite tricky.So as a result I have dropped the phone a few times from less than a metre from floor level which has marked the hard silver plastic edge band with the most recent one cracking the case at the corner closest to the camera.I have since ordered the Liquid Air case to replace this one. I hope this performs better than this one!

The Case looks Good and does leave enough of a cut out to fit your fast charger and use the silent switchthe rim of the case is a nice black but is very slippery doesn't add any grip to the phone at the side the back does have a nice herringbone pattern its slightly better then the glass back of the iPhone but you can still slide it along a tableI think these were meant for the iPhone x and repurposed for the iPhone xs as the camera in not central as I would have exceptedIts not a tough case and I think it will add a bit of drop protection but not as much as a tough case, if you have butter fingers I do recommend getting a tough caseDoesn't add much bulk to the phone.The camera does sit in from the case when fitting but I will still be getting a glass protector for the lens just incaseFast Wireless charging does work well with case on.For the price its good and the style is good..I might have only gave it 4 stars and it lost one star as it doesn't improve the texture of the sides of the phone, I would recommend this phone but if you want tough this is not the case for you.

I will start by saying I am a huge fan of Spigen cases and have purchased and used multiple cases from them in the past. The case itself has a two part design, a shock-absorbing TPU case and polycarbonate bumper. The look of the case is very modern and classy combining two different colours together to give a more sophisticated effect. The ports on the case are well exposed, speaker grills are the right size, cutout for the lightning charging point is not too recessed and allows enough space for third party accessories, camera hole is the perfect size and the mode switcher is big enough so you don't have to struggle to switch your phone to silent.Now onto the negative, the way you hold this phone will typically be around the edges where the plastic frame is. This materials is VERY slippery and I have dropped this phone on many occasions. I don't understand why Spigen changed this material, previous iterations of the Neo Hybrid cases have been a gripper and more textured materials that prevents you from easily losing friction. If your hands are dry and it is cold outside or inside, the phone can easily slide right out of your hand. You have to grip it quite hard to compensate for the weight of the phone. It is not only the plastic material that is slippery, the TPU materials is quite smooth as well and virtually offer no grip most of the time.As for the protection of this case, I have had no instances where the impacts have actually damaged the phone itself. It offers good shock absorption and has a lip around the front of the phone which allows you to lay your phone flat on its front without scratching the screen. Spigen cases have always been designed well for drop protection and big impacts so there is no issue here.Overall, if you are looking for a good looking case and are not too concerned about the lack of grip of the case, then look no further. However, if you value a good grip between you and your phone, I would recommend the Spigen Touch Armour as it not only provides protection and functionality but offers a solid grippy material.

Was slightly nervous about ordering this as there weren't many reviews. Got it yesterday and the case fits perfectly and feels tough and durable. Looks nice too!
