Lantiseptic Lantiseptic Skin Protectant Tube, 4 oz (Pack of 2)

I am an endurance cyclist and I have been using this product exclusively on any ride longer than 100 miles for several years now. Several negative reviews have complained that it is too thick to spread on your hands/fingers. It is and that's by design. This cream is extremely thick in order to give both physical and medical protection against bed sores. It is not a hand cream.When used by a long distance cyclist it lubricates to prevent chafing. Even a small movement repeated 20,000 times will cause chafing unless there is good lubrication. When combined with quality shorts, a Brooks B17 saddle, and frequent position changes and standing, Lantiseptic allowed me to ride 400 miles in one weekend with only mild discomfort. If saddle sores do develop, the active ingredients in Lantiseptic prevent the sores from becoming infected and will heal them faster than non-medicated creams.I have also used this on road rash from a crash after irrigating the wound with water. It protects the damaged skin and attacks any bacteria that got into the wound. It wasn't as convenient to use as neosporin but I didn't have any neosporin with me at the time.Lantiseptic is absorbed into the lining of your shorts, like most creams, so you still have to re-apply every 60-100 miles. It washes out leaving no residue.It is expensive - no argument there. I use it on about 12 rides a year and get through about two 4oz tubes each year. It's well worth it.

This product is great if you're needing a moisture barrier for your skin. I've been using it for several years, and I highly recommend it.

Applied to patients per Doctors’ orders for years. Succeeded where other unguents failed. Use on my skin, especially face after shaving.

We used this on my 92-year old father who was bed-bound, suffering incontinence, and was threatening to develop pressure sores. We had tried many other products, but Lantiseptic was the best at keeping his skin from breaking down. I've also used it on heel calluses, and it does a remarkable job of softening the skin there as well. I strongly recommend it.

Got our first tub of this from the NICU where DS spent the first 28 days of his life. It works so well and fast that I have gotten this for my newest nephew and will always recommend this over any other cream. I have even used it myself and have verified that it works and does not hurt/burn/sting in ANY way!!! :)
