Catalyst have done a really good job of making the game accessible to a general audience. The models are great, the presentation is good, and the overall package is nice. It's not stupidly expensive either. This boxed set only feels pricey in comparison to the miniature packs, and that's because they are such good value.If you already have the GOAC boxed set, and you're thinking about expanding, this is a good set to buy. It's got a star of mechs, and some battle armor. Plus lots of cardboard proxies that work fine as extra mechs.

Really good set almost for everyone: for collectors cause it has a lot of stuff inside including colourful map, for Clan`s fans as it gives mechs that are really iconic for the Universe and for players that just need to expand their experience with Battletech. Well worth money you pay, and what`s more important - quality of miniatures become better and better

I’ve been corresponding with the Catalyst Games store for 5 months to try and receive missing products and they are less than unhelpful.They don’t value their customers so avoid.

I liked the speed of the delivery of this purchase. It arrived in great shape and the purchase was not damaged or opened. The contents of the boxset is in perfect shape. The miniatures they procide are all well defined and have excellent details on each piece. The box came with everything they said it would. Even dice. As some other buyers have made mention they didn't receive any dice. But that can be a boxing issue. But ni issues with my purchase. Everything it is supposed to have was there and i also received a free lunar surface map and giant Battletech poster.The game is writen well and should be easy to learn as long as you read the rules book before atempting to play. But this game is straight forward and written so most buyers can understand it. And they have how to play videos on youtube as well to help anyone understand easier.

Fist off, this item showed up a day before it was scheduled for delivery and arrived in immaculate condition. Second, everything in the box is printed to a very high standard, and thats coming from a professional printer. I'm very impressed with the quality of workmanship. The minis are also very nice. They are a massive improvement over the old minis and are also considerably better than the previous generation of iron wind minis....So here are my knit picks. This product has loadouts for 2 mech that seem to include weapons whose rules are not in this boxed set. An ultra a.c. and an lbx a.c.. also, the rulebook was a little thin. It's missing rules for a lot of weapons that I think definately have a place therein. Inner sphere get a streak srm 2 rack and an ER large laser. They get all 3 sizes of pulse laser thank goodness. And the clans have only 2 ballistic weapons: machine guns and gause rifles. There are no advanced autocannon at all, for either side. No artemis. No tag. No narc. No tsm. Come on. This is supposed to be lv 2.Over all: yeah, I can find all those rules online, but it would have been nice to have them all in the same place. Also it would have been cool to maybe reprint the construction rules in the new box so it could all stay tidy, too. So I say this is a solid 4. I have been playing battletech for 25 years and these are by far the best quality products to ever have the battletech logo printed on them, but they should have included a little more content.
