Perfect warm weather pajamas - Quality construction, design could be better
Product: David Archy Lightweight Button Down Pajama Set in GreyPurchased July 2020Size: MediumTime worn before initial review: ~ 1 week, day and night. Two washes.Review ethics disclaimer: I received a discount on this product for my honest, unfiltered feedback. This discount does not affect my review or how critical I am of the product.About me:I am 6'0" and weigh 160 lbs. I ordered my typical Medium size and it is sized well, classic fit (a bit baggy and loose).Overview:I was a bit skeptical at first as I'm not impressed with the aesthetic choices made in the design of these pajamas. However, I started wearing them around the house for a few days and realized how much I needed a set of pajamas like these. They are extraordinarily lightweight and breathable, even during humid summer nights. These pajamas are durable, well-built, and have easy care instructions. I maintain the design choices (color, stripe design) leave something to be desired for a premium product.Construction: 5/5Price: 4/5Style/aesthetics (This is underweighted due to subjectivity): 3/5Overall: 4/5What I like:I love the David Archy brand. The products I own are durable, functional, and stylish. These are the things I have come to expect from the brand and these pajamas live up to 2/3 of these items. These pajamas are 100% cotton, which means they are designed as a warm weather set. I don't usually sleep with pajamas during the summer because I overheat - but that leads to problems in the middle of the night of getting too cold or having to fumble around in the dark to find a robe. These pajamas are the perfect solution for that. They are extremely lightweight and breathable. They are also well-constructed with beautiful seams and functional pockets - one on the shirt, two on the pants. They are loose fitting but add just enough warmth to keep me comfortable without drenching me in sweat while I sleep. If they do get wet for any reason, they dry quickly. I am impressed with the quality of the buttons and how well they are sewn on. I usually have to go through the new clothes I purchase and reinforce the buttons with sewing thread for longevity but I did not have to with these pajamas. The accent piping on the lapel collar and around the pockets are nice. What I'm neutral about:The pricing on these pajamas definitely put them in the "premium" range. The cotton also isn't super soft but it's not rigid, either. They are comfortable but not luxurious. It's also a tad restrictive at night because I sprawl out when I sleep. What I don't like:Frankly, for a premium pair of pajamas, the aesthetic choices are poor, poor, poor. At the time of writing this, the color choices are a striped medium grey and striped baby blue - both with and without the lapel collar. These are the most conservative choices David Archy could have selected. The striped design on each leaves a lot to be desired - I pulled them out of the packaging initially and chuckled. My wife laughed a bit, as well, since the design is so aesthetically different from the premium products I usually order, even including other items from the David Archy brand. The best way to describe the current design options are plain, drab, even a bit austere - completely contrary to the typical style of the brand.Advice to David Archy:Be bold in your color and design selections and carry over some of the aesthetic choices choices from other lines in your brand. The quality, construction, and functionality are amazing for these pajamas. For a premium product, however, aesthetics are also a necessary factor and one that is lacking here. I am more than willing to consistently pay for your premium products - I just expect to also look good in doing so.

QUALITY PAJAMAS
These men's pajamas are a comfortable, quality product. And, through Amazon, they're are at a lower price than ordering directly from the company. However for me, they are "missing" 2 important features. First and foremost, the bottoms are only elastic waist with a drawstring. There is NO top button to unbutton them for sleeping comfort. Second, the bottoms also have NO pockets. For the price, I believe these features should be included -- which ARE included in the significantly cheaper "Fruit of the Loom" brand men's pajamas.

Superior quality
My now-invalid husband is relieved to find these pajamas. Purchased both patterns, hoping for a good gamble! It worked. Best ever summer pjs bought in all his years. For real! Easy fit, substantial but light weight fabric, outstanding design (yoke, button closure facing, waistband), superior washability. Thank goodness the buttons are nice and large with well-proportioned button holes and the waistband is fabric-encased (thus, easily maneuverable). The white piping around the jacket's full opening is a pleasing touch that adds stability and a tidy look. Super comfortable, says he. Bravo to the makers!

Was expecting it to be cozier... probably won't wear it much.
Disclaimer: I received a discount on this product for my honest, unfiltered feedback. This discount does not affect my review or how critical I am of the product.I have been a customer of David Archy for a while now and own lots of their boxers. When I found out I could test this new pajama set, I was excited because I love the quality and fabric of the boxers. I've also never been a pajama guy so thought this might convert me.Upon receiving the pajama set, I found it to be not very stylish or aesthetically pleasing. The fabric was ok, nothing that screamed PUT ME ON! The fit is very loose and breathable which I like, but I keep my apartment fairly cold, especially in the evening, and this wasn't cozy enough for me to want to wear again. I also don't like the idea of a button up sleep shirt... who wants to sleep with buttons on their chest??Will I keep it? Yes, but not sure when I'll wear it... the shorts will probably get more wear than the silly shirt. My feedback for DA would be to use the fabrics from your boxers lines! Would love to see a sleep set made from modal or bamboo fabric.

Most comfortable pajamas I’ve owned
Got a pair of David Archy long sleeve pajamas for my birthday in January and fell in love. Bought three more. With warmer months hopefully on the way I decided to try the short sleeve set. Just as great. Great, classy look. Lightweight and comfortable. My wife is a furnace and I historically would sleep just in boxers but decided it was time to go to a pajama set and these jeep me nice and cool and actually wick away the sweat.

Decent
I ordered them, and felt like they would be a good fit. They ran a little larger then usual, but I expected them to feel a little different. They were a bit more loose then expected. I’m a skinny guy, so I ordered a small. The shorts fit very well but the shirt is a little too loose.I can definitely see myself wearing them, they feel really nice to sleep in and very comfortable. They’re lightweight, so I can see them being good during the summer.

Numbers?
These feel comfortable. I ordered these a few weeks back and last night was my first time wearing them. I’m very disappointed with the ‘numbers’ (as shown in the photos) that I found on this pair of pajamas. I don’t understand how these ended up being sold. Otherwise they are great. May 18 2021. Follow up review. I received replacement pajamas today. A very big THANK YOU to the seller for this. Greatly appreciated
