This is the first of its kind of UV-C handheld that I have come across in this era of pandemic stricken world. Most other handheld devices in this price range uses UV-C LEDs but this product uses actual UV-C bulb. Any Ultraviolet irradiation source such as this one reviewed here is harmful for humans so safety must be the most important thing. I am pleased to say that this manufacturer's device does take that into account and the device does not work when turned upside down thereby preventing accidental exposure to UV radiation.There is a USB cable included just because the device can be both powered by 4xAAA batteries and or USB port or portable USB powerbanks. This does not mean you can use rechargeable batteries inside and or charge the 4xAAA batteries which is not permitted. Therefore, inclusion of USB power cable is just an alternate power source to use this wand temporarily when your AAA batteries are out of juice.The manufacturing seems to have been done using one of the most economical methods available in China. The finish quality isn't top notch especially noticeable are that of the power button and plastic casing and injection molding of plastic parts isn't top quality but thankfully the light itself works just fine. The manufacturer's review sample did not not come with UV-C test paper strips but luckily I had some sample UV-C test paper and I validated this lamp using that test paper and I can confirm that it does emit UV-C light. (See pictures posted alongside this review)PS: I am not a Doctor or physician nor I have equipment to validate the effectiveness of the product. I cannot confirm that this does indeed kills 99.9% of viruses that the product claims. I just tested the sample given to me and provided my honest feedback based on the knowledge and tools that are available to me during the tests.This is very portable and that is important these days in this COVID-19 stricken world we live in. Having some sort portable UV Light Sanitizer Wand like this is which is powered by readily available regular AAA batteries bring you peace of mind that you made your best effort to stay safe and not get infected by accidental exposure to viruses and bacteria. Also since not all things (Especially keyboard, mouse, smartphones LCD screens) can be washed and drenched with 75% alcohol, therefore having a UV-C light source for disinfection rather than bleach and alcohol is crucial.Rating the product with four stars!
