For my usage the click is too easy to hit, and the cap can't be installed without creating a count. If the cap attached to the pen body instead of the movable part, this would have been perfect for my needs.5 stars because for it's original intended purpose I would think this is perfect. In my case I was using it to count students at my exercise station for a math event. The issue is that they come in 'waves' so I need to cap this often. I still use it, just don't use it for marking their cards...just put in my pocket and click like one of those old timey clickers ;-)

Ink runs out very quickly

I make my living analyzing scientific data. Usually I use computer software to count things, but sometimes I am counting some visual pattern in which case the only way is to print out lots of graphs and check off the ones that fit some pattern. This simple device makes it much easier to do that sort of counting task.

It was a pleasant transaction experience. It is working so far. It took me a while to get the counting screen to work for one of the two pens I ordered.

Worked as stated. Used to help count stacks of wood and drywall. Only complaint is the marker is very thin and will dry out quickly.
