Looks can be deceiving
Initially I was super impressed with the quality of this floatie. Inflation of bladders was easy. Was comfy to sit in, seemed like a great purchase. 3 hours later and the main U shaped bladder was half deflated. The box has been recycled that it arrived in, otherwise I'd return it. Definitely disappointed.

Head rest had a bad leak out of the box
Fabric is nice and sturdy. The hook and loop design that hold the cover to the raft is kind of a pain and it's not the easiest thing to inflate but seems like an okay product. First one had a bad leak in the headrest. Haven't inflated the replacement yet but will update after I do

The most comfortable pool float I have owned in 19 years!!
UPDATED REVIEW, 06/09/13: I have gotten over 2 years use out of this float. It has it's "issues" - has faded pretty badly, loses a bit of air in the chambers requiring you put a bit more in the air chambers weekly, and it is a BEAST to blow up yearly (it has 8 air chambers). Besides all this, I continue to find it the most comfortable pool float I have ever had, and with 2 years use, durable as well. The float is heavy enough that it has never been blown out of our pool during a thunderstorm, so this adds considerably to the durability factor. I prefer to float in a mostly upright position so I can read, look around, etc., so this float is ideal for me.I purchased this pool lounge chair/float about 2 months ago. It has been used many times in the past 2 months. I do not like to write reviews until I have given the product a "good run". So, with this pool float, so far/so good! This pool float is, by far, the most comfortable pool float I have ever owned in my 19 years as a pool owner. Let me give you the good and the few "bad" points. Good: 1). Super comfortable 2). The "fabric" is actually a pretty durable, high density polyester but it does have a fabric like feel and is non-sticky and comfortable. 3). It has been used at least 50 times in the past 2+ months and is holding it's own as far as durability in a chlorine based pool environment. 4). It does need a few puffs of air in some of the air baffles/pockets every week or so, but no big deal ............. no major leaks of any kind. ALL pool floats need the occasional bit of air added to compensate for air loss from the expansion/contraction from the sun and then cooler nights. The "bad" points: 1). There are multiple (8) air baffles that need inflated. Someone had mentioned how difficult it was to inflate some of the air baffles/pockets and then re-insert them into the proper compartments...............!? I don't know what would possess someone to remove the baffles to fill them!? I did remove the air baffles/bladders to stretch them out a bit and decompress them. I then re-inserted them back into their respective areas before I inflated them................no problems. 2). The "cup holder" is a joke...........really! It does not align well with the hole in the air bladder beneath, but if it is important to you and you do persist, you can get it to hold a standard beer/soda can or bottle. 3). As a previous reviewer mentioned you really do NOT rest back into a reclined position as the portrait suggest; the "model" on the box must be pushing back. This chair holds you in a fairly upright position. To allow my head to rest back a bit, I found that if I only put a bit of air into the very top (small) air bladder on the headrest you can rest your head back a bit. However, anyone who purchases this who has a cervical spine issue or who wants to recline backwards will be disappointed. Overall, I am very pleased with this pool float and if I get 2 or 3 seasons out of it I will be happy. It is hands down the most comfortable pool float I have ever owned (but I like sitting upright on a pool chair) and it can handle a person 200#+ if necessary and still remain buoyant.

comfortable with adjustments, I like the fabric covering, loses air fast
This is a blowup float with a fabric covering. The fabric covering has two velcro areas on the seams to allow access to the actual float and air valves. The idea behind it is great but the actual fit is horrible. The valves do not line up with the openings and you have to maneuver things around to get at them. It makes it more difficult when you are trying to fill it and the float is full of air, the valves move out of easy reach. Also, there are these clip things that are attached to the fabric covering that fit through holes in the float, they are designed to keep the fabric in place. the problem again is it is no aligned well with the actual float and causes the float to pucker and bunch up instead of lying flat. I had to deflate the entire thing to access the clips and undo the two in the middle so the float would lay flat. It's a good design in theory but it's not well made in reality.I purchased this specifically for the tougher fabric cover bc my 70 lb dog likes to use floats in our pool. I'm skeptical that this will last all season. I purchased a different float at the same time and it was more money but I feel way more confident that float will last and it is super comfortable. It's the Blue Wave Santa Maria Unsinkable Floating Pool Mattress.I previously purchased a Swimline dog float that claimed it would hold my dog's weight but the sides of it buckled in after only a couple of uses. I don't think I will buy any more products from Swimline.
