Cleopatra and Queen Hatshepsut would encourage you to follow in their footsteps by using PelleSana Nilotica Shea Butter. They undoubtedly used it in their own beauty regimens since Africans have used and traded raw, or unrefined, shea butter since ancient times. They have, and continue to, use it not only for its moisturizing and healing powers but also as a cooking oil!Its natural nutrients, when absorbed into the skin, form a protective barrier that will both nourish and renew your skin at the same time. East African Shea Butter (Shea Nilotica) differs from West African primarily in its higher oleic acic content, which makes it creamier, softer, and silkier. It has a lower melting point than West African butter; it melts more easily, at temperatures as low as 65 degrees F. It will solidify when it cools. Putting and keeping it In the refrigerator will hasten that process; storing it in the refrigerator will make it last longer. PelleSana's Organic East African Shea Butter is highly nourishing and remarkably effective in healing dry and cracked skin, eczema, psoriasis and sun damaged skin. Its unique fatty acid profile gives it the ability to moisturize and retain the elasticity of the skin. Nice product but poor packaging
I've used West African shea butter before but was anxious to try East African shea butter as it is known to be a softer butter. When I received the box I noticed that it had a small oil stain on the box and was concerned that the butter had melted in the heat and had spilled all over the box. I opened the box and I found that the lid had come completely off the jar. Not sure how that happens since it was fulfilled by Amazon and they are usually pretty good about their packaging. Fortunately, the butter had hardened back up and too much of it wasn't lost. The butter itself was nice and smooth and had a softer texture than the West African shea butter. Am anxious to see how it performs.

She loves it!
I bought this PelleSana Nilotica shea butter for my wife. She loves it! She says that it's soft and creamy, really moisturizes her hands without leaving them feeling greasy - that a little bit goes a long way. We both like the fact that producing this product helps support women in Uganda.

REAL Nilotica Shea Butter - Worth every cent!
I have been using Nilotica shea butter for my growing baby bump since I was 8 weeks pregnant. I still don't have any scars and am at 34 weeks! The first time I purchased the butter was from Slice of Nature and it was exactly like this one by PelleSana except I got 8 oz not 6 oz. However, somehow the formula "changed" and the next jar I ordered was gritty and like the less expensive Western shea butter. So I found this one and it is perfect. A bit more costly but you just need a little to make it go a long way. Just scoop a little with a cosmetics scoop/spoon and rub it between your hands for a few seconds. I know it can be used on hair, your face, throat, body, anywhere. I have been using it on my neck and I feel like it looks younger. I would recommend the PelleSana Nilotica Shea Butter to everyone.

An Amazing Product!
"This Shea Butter feels wonderful! It's so smooth on the hands and the moisture lasts for hours! Even my boyfriend has commented on how beautiful my skin looks and feels. I love the fact that this product is certified organic. It is very important for me to know that I'm putting safe ingredients on my skin. And as an added bonus, I have heard that using Shea Butter in my natural hair occasionally is excellent! I am really glad I found out about Nilotica Shea Butter."
