This is a universal cafe style flyscreen for any bike with a round headlight up to 7.5" including the outer ring. The headlight opening/hole is 8" across. It is about 16" tall from bottom to top. Super easy installation. It mounts directly to the headlight bolts, so no mounting brackets are required. Inside mounting surface is 9" apart. Molded from durable poly-urethane. You will get the tan color molded blank with flashings removed and edges shaped. You will have to bodywork and finish and paint to your needs. Yes, this means sanding, primer, sealer, paint etc. Automotive quality paint system is recommend. The finished end product will depend on your skill level. If you are not experienced in this kind of work, this may not be for you. Pictures show a finished product mounted to a Triumph Thruxton, Triumph Thunderbird Sport and a Ducati Monster. This flyscreen will bolt right up to a Triumph Thruxton and Thunderbird Sport with no modification required. Front blinker modification/relocation required for a Ducati Monster.

Poorly finished
I guess I should start by saying they previous reviewer was not exagerating one bit. When I got the part it was extremely slippery to the touch. I went ahead and took care of that by cleaning it with some laquer thinner. Once I felt I had removed most of the chemicals left over from releasing the product from the mold I set about sanding the mountains of residual urethane left over from being poorly formed. I had to start with 220 grit to get rid of that and then notices that it had 2 distinct "peaks" across the entire width of it. So I had to sand those down to blend in with the rest of the part to make it look smooth. After that and smoothing down the round hole (tons of peaks and valleys in that area) It looks pretty nice. This was a bit more work than I expected to have to do. While it came out pretty well after paint and all, I doubt your typcial bike owner would want to go through the trouble to get this looking right. If you are use to body work than this will be a breeze. I'll see if I can post pictures of the finished product. I wish I had taken some before pics though. As for the seller, they sent the part out quickly. I didn't make a complaint about the product, since I knew how to take care of it, so I'm not sure how customer service is.

Junk
Don't waste your time or money, cheaply made of flimsy material. Produced from a badly made mold. Sent back immediately.

Mediocre quality and difficult to finish
This is a replica of the cafe racer-style flyscreen sold for the Triumph Bonneville models. However, it's made of molded polyurethane, and so it is thicker and heavier than the Triumph item, and mine had some small holes in its surface, apparently caused by air bubbles. The plastic is about 1/4" thick at the top edge. You will have to drill your own mounting holes and provide your own bolts/spacers, or whatever you need to make it fit your bike. It should bolt on with any round 7" headlight's side mounting bolts, but you'll need half-inch or so spacers on each side, and longer mounting bolts. This fairing is much cheaper than the Triumph model, but you get a rough molding that requires a good deal of work to prepare for mounting. The major problem I had with this item was painting it. The seller provides no information about what finishes are appropriate or what surface prep is required. There was a lot of mold-release residue on mine, and the seller provided no information as to how to remove it. I washed and sanded the fairing until I thought I had removed all chemicals, and I roughed up the surface with 220 and 600 sandpaper, which I though would do the trick. Wrong! Even with this preparation, spray enamel paint beaded on it like water on a windshield. I re-sanded and tried two types of Krylon paint, with the same result. I then researched the issue and found that his type of plastic won't hold paint unless it is thoroughly cleaned, scoured and abraded to remove all traces of mold-release chemical. I'm going to wait a week before putting more effort into it.I wish I'd known of this issue before I started work, but the seller provided no such info.I will say that this seller ships fast, and that the product arrived without damage.
