3 year old carried box around for several day waiting for a chance to paint it
Unfortunately, the shipment arrived on Thu afternoon and we had constant things to do until Sunday. I can't tell you how many times I heard, "Can we paint it now?" over those days. Our 3 year old carried it around all day and slept with it. We bought 2 so our 5 year old would have one also. When we finally had time, both girls loved painting the unicorns and they came out nice (not just a puke colored mess). A lot of fun for both the 3 and 5 year old.

Amazing detail of the features. Staggering quality. Brilliant size. Looks realistic
Omg. I'm so thrilled with this Alpaca., I wasn't exactly expecting for it to be so big or so detailed regarding the features.J.— loves Alpacas so I thought this would be the perfect gift for their 26th., can't wait for it to be painted.Ok, seems expensive but it's exceptional quality and have the paints included; so not disappointed by no means.

Not a good buy
Figurine way too smooth to take paint, just doesnt want to soak in just sat on surface. Not even with wet and dry did it make any difference.Tried repainting it not sure how it will turn out. Could find a home in bin!!!!

Unicorn painter
They are so many wonderful things that I could say about this but they are only one word that could sum this up and it is the word fragile and also delicate.

Adorable, not hollow, not a bad size.
Adorable little paint your own alpaca.Packaged well. Arrived in a nicely designed cardboard box. This very cute little alpaca is bigger than I thought it would be. And it doesn't feel hollow either. This alpaca stands at 14cm tall, 8.5cm long and 5cm wide. It has a little bit of weight to it, great for ornamental purposes. This comes with 6 mini pots of brightly coloured paints. Pink, purple, green, yellow, orange and red. These paint really well. I would say two coats are needed just to get the little bits but mainly it's covers it not bad at all. There is sprinkle glitter and a glitter glue provided too, just to add some jazz.On the face there is a little detail for eyes, nose and mouth. This is brilliant, creative and fun, I would of loved this as a child! I would definitely recommend. Not too cheaply made. The paints aren't watery. Not too bad for the price I thought around £10-11 so I wasn't far off. It is really cute and stands quite well too.

Not as easy as it looks, in my experience ~ age & patience level depending
The short manufacturer video above is worth looking at.Depending on age (box guide 'Ages 6+'), some help may be required opening the little hinged paint pots, which lift up on the left flap.BLACK is not supplied for the eye detail, as shown in the current stock images.Although the acrylic paint is a reasonably thick consistency, it is easy to push it around rather than coat, in my experience, which may make it less appealing to those with limited patience. We found a steady hand was needed for the thinner areas e.g. the aforementioned face detail & the pattern on the coat/blanket, even with the thin paintbrush supplied.A dabbing technique is easier for larger areas when keeping to the same colour, perhaps with a bristlier paintbrush (not supplied). The paint is relatively fast drying, and, as with most painting tasks, a bit patchy on the initial coat, so more than one is better for depth of colour. The alpaca is not symmetrical, i.e. different blob distribution on the legs so you cannot match the pair, so to speak!ooOooIt is a well packaged set that comes in a cardboard box measuring around 21 cm x 2.5 cm x 7 cm. Inside the items are further protected by a thin plastic moulded inner.Relatively heavy in hand the sturdy plaster alpaca stands around 15 cm tall x 5.5 cm wide x 10 cm nose to tail.Included in the set is a bank of 6 plastic-type pots of reasonable quality neon coloured, acrylic paints, each with a flip top, hinged lid:~ GREEN~ YELLOW~ ORANGE~ VERMILION~ PINK~ PURPLEThere is also a little bag of silver glitter and a tube of red glitter glue for further embellishment, if required. The finished item stands proudly to attention.[16 images attached]

Great gift or rainy day activity.
We have used quite a few of these types of sets with our children and they always enjoy them. A simple set including a set of paints, paintbrush and a plaster Llama model to paint. It’s a sturdy figure and a reasonable size. The face has nice detail with little eye lashes, mouth and nose. The llama has a textured body so it looks fur covered and the ears have inside detail to make them look more realistic too. I would definitely be happy giving this as a present. The only reason I went for four stars over five is the price. It is more expensive than I’d expect at £15.
