Lasted two months; terrible warranty service
Temple separated from frame after two months (adhesive, not at screw hinge). These are ballistic protective optics and I expected them to be durable. Amazon directed me to engage Smith for warranty.Smith stated they would issue $169 credit upon destroying the damaged pair. After doing so, they issued the credit- which can only be used for one pair.Upon selecting a different and more durable appearing frame style at $80, I selected two pair… ($160, about what I originally spent). Smith would not allow the purchase- only one pair, so I’m out $89.So, in sum: Smith ballistic products fail within 60 days of use, they don’t stand behind their products, and they’re happy to steal your money afterwards. AVOID SMITH OPTICS.

Thought I'd found a pair of sunglasses that were worth the price. I was wrong.
I've had really bad luck with sunglasses over the last few years. I've purchased several pairs of expensive sunglasses, including brands like Revo, Arnette, Bolle, Carrera, etc. and have ended up with nothing but junk. I've had $300 pairs of sunglasses whose lenses started falling out after a few weeks. I've basically sworn off most brands.I found these Smiths when I was looking for some better eye protection for shooting and other outdoor activities. I very warily ordered them and was very pleasantly surprised when I received them. Upon picking them up, I could immediately feel how beefy the construction is. The build quality is excellent. They're comfortable. The lenses are clear and sharp.-------------------Follow UP: I've changed my review to reflect the fact that the temple just fell off these yesterday. I was just wearing them and it dropped off. It seems like an adhesive or solder failed. So much for mil-spec. I suppose I should be glad they didn't fail at the rifle range. These do have a lifetime warranty, so I expect Smith to repair or replace them. However, a warranty isn't keeping the sun out of my eyes for the next few weeks, so I'll have to buy another pair to use. They won't be Smiths.

Only lasted about a year
Love the glasses, but definitely not worth the cost. They were my work glasses and are only used while driving, have been babied and lightly used, but one of the hinges randomly failed while in a protective case (not during use) causing one of the ear pieces to disconnect.

These are well made.
My eyes don’t hurt anymore. I’m not responsible enough to buy such nice glasses so I always bought cheaper sunglasses…. Until my eyes started hurting.Apparently cheap sunglasses don’t always protect your eyes from harmful UV Rays. These ones do the trick, are lightweight, sturdy and they make me better looking too.

and they're great.
I got these for riding my motorcycle, and they're great.Edit: After some light, but regular, use, I have found that they have not been as sturdy as I would have liked.
