There are so many variables that affect how your espresso will taste. So the key to dialing in espresso consistency is to eliminate some of the variables. Consistent load and pressure are two important variables that the Coffee Tamper and Distributor can help eliminate. Distributing the grind consistently and applying consistent pressure is accomplished using this tool when adjusted to the proper heights. Eliminating these variables then allows you to focus on the grind and load amount. I haven't quite figured out how to best make use of the funnel as it will not fit on my portofilter while under a Breville grinder. Trying to put it on after grinding is too messy so I just do without. Still, I find this a useful tool over manual banging to distribute grind, manual tamping with too much room for variability, then using the Breville knife for leveling the load.

A must have for a beginner like myself. The distributor made a huge difference and I like that I'm able to preset the depth on both sides. It's heavy which helps with the tamping and well made. I was also in the market for a dosing funnel. Very happy to find this bundle. The dosing funnel is not a must have but it's definitely a nice to have. Makes life easier.

Why pay over a hundred for the latest fad distribution tool when you can pick up this one for much less? It has all the same features like sturdy, heavy materials and precise depth adjustment. The dosing funnel is useful depending on how your grinder fills your portafilter. The only improvement I would like to see is to make the funnel magnetic. Not critical but would be helpful in some cases,

This fits perfectly in my breville express and it has upped my espresso game. It’s heavier than it looks, but that’s what makes it perfect for the job it has.
