Aucklandia & Coptis Teapills (Xiang Lian Wan), 200 ct, Plum Flower

This was recommended to me by my vet, for a dog with loose stools. The dog had a number of food allergies, yet is hunted often and has a hard time keeping weight on, so a low fat diet is not exactly possible for him, but also not great for a dog prone to loose stools. We've found foods he is not allergic to & so we decided that we'd use this product as needed to help firm up his stools (especially if we added more fat, or fatty fish to his diet). You can use 1 pill per 10 pounds of body weight (in dogs) and up to 8 tea pills maximum, per dose (even if the dog weighs MORE than 80 pounds) and you are to use no more than 3 times per day, or every 8 hours. I have found it takes very little for my dog to stay "regular" only 1 tea pill per meal, despite weighing 87 lbs. My advice is to go SLOW, unless your dog has raging diarrhea when you first try it.I have used them myself when I have had a bad stomach upset, rather than take Pepto. (I never needed more than 3 despite weighing WELL more, than my dog.) The tea pills have a slightly bitter taste, so washing them down with food helps, or in the case of dogs putting them in a small piece of cooked sweet potato, seems to work well.Can treat: gastroenteritis causing diarrhea with pus, pain and abdominal cramping. Good for my dog diarrhea

I have Large Intestine damp-heat. I was happy to read someone else's suggestion to start on half dose. This product really does wonders to "stop the flow" as it were and I only take one serving of 8 tea pills while the bottle recommends that three times daily.

This works just like metronidazole in dogs. It's far less damaging than the pharmaceutacal in the liver and the results are similar. Great idea of dog and cat owners.

Honestly I don't know if this worked for me or not. I had a UTI and I was told that this would work well. I was always told that holistic and natural is the best method to use when trying to heal the body. I used this in addition to organic cranberry pills, and golden seal. My UTI has cleared up and no signs of it returning. However, I don't know if it was just these pills or a combination of everything I was taking. I hope this helps someone. I know it's all over the place but I wouldn't NOT purchase these pills. I do believe they contributed to me getting better.
