I have to start by saying I had a lot of trouble figuring out how to use this product at first since it either didn't come with basic instructions or I threw them out. So I stuck it in a corner and forgot about it till the other day. I started playing around with it and I must say it's pretty cool.First off, it comes in a very nice heavyweight black box with foam padding inside. Inside the box are the lens as well as a small hard nylon covered carrying case, a lens cap and a small cleaning cloth. It all looks like high quality, well made material.The problem came when I tried to attach it to my iPhone 6. It seemed loose and I couldn't see that it made any difference. Till I took my phone out of the case-this made it easier to see where the lens should fit-there's a small thing on the lens that will sit over the camera lens on the phone. There's a dial to adjust the focus, but I had to hold everything in place or the lens moved. Once I knew how the Ansel lens was supposed to fit, I put my phone back into the case and it all worked. I can actually see a difference in my pictures with and without using the lens. I'm a casual picture taker usually, so I'm not really sure I'll use this much. Having to keep putting it on and taking it off would be a pain for me. However, my family keeps growing and group shots are tough-I can see how using this lens for those pictures would make things a lot easier. The picture quality doesn't seem affected by the addition of the lensI received this product at a discount for my honest review

I honestly thought some of the reviews on here were fake but I must say that this is the best phone camera lens I have ever used. I am using it on a galaxy S7. Once the lens is lined up perfectly all of my shots taking with it are clear with no barrel distortion. You can't even tell the lens is on because there is no degradation to picture quality. I am able to get a lot more in a shot so it is good for street photography, landscape, and group shots. This lens really does compare with the more expensive (overpriced) lenses from companies like Moment. I just ordered the 60mm zoom lens from this company because this one was so good.

it is not what I expected. I still need to work with it. Right now I see no difference in close ups with it on. Also it does not fit on my Samsung Galaxy phone properly, there is a gap between the phone and the clip and I found it difficult to focus the lens while holding my phone.

I am an amateur, hobbyist photographer and most times when I don't ever expect to have something pop up that is a perfect photo op, I don't have my camera and lenses. With the advancement in small camera technology in our smart phones, tiny tech has became entwined in our daily life. Portability is more important than ever in this fast paced word we live in. Right off the bat, the outside and inside box presentation is simple and well packed. This is as easy as it gets folks. Take it out of the box, slide the C shaped clip into the groove on the smallest part of the outside of the lens and center that puppy on your camera lens. Bam!For reference, I tested this product using my own Samsung Galaxy S6 Edge. All opinions are based on this specific phone.More Detailed observations/ things that went thru my mind/questions:~Is this going to scratch my lens of my camera? Nope! Perfectly placed, there is a soft rubber-like ring that is slightly raised on the smallest part of the lens. This is multi-functional. Provides protection on your lens, ensures that there is equal pressure to secure it to the position of your liking.~Is the clip* going to be too tight? You can never have it too tight! This most certainly will not crack your screen, nor crush your lens.Where the clip rests on the screen, there is a rubber-like pad that is designed to be center to the lens, which is why it holds so well. The only movement I experienced was a side to side movement when I accidentally dropped it (on grass, WHEW). In that case I just did a 5 second adjustment and was back on track. I did not experience any movement while taking pictures or normal handling. This thing is not going anywhere :)~Ok, so the clip is strong- is it heavy? No, the clip is lightweight. The entire system is lightweight and ready to go! The Lens~How 'wide angle' is it really? Does it make much of a difference? Oh yes, this makes a great difference. If you are a DJ, and need a wide shot of the whole room having a great time to your music for a promotional picture, go for it! If you're on vacation, and are hiking, or sitting on a beach and you've GOTTA have that beautiful sunset picture, you got it! Got a lot of friends and family on an outing and you really need to get everyone in the picture? Yup! You can get it done.~ Alright, does this really compare to true DSLR camera quality? On my own camera, I can say with positivity that there is a slight difference. I am happy and impressed, but not blown away. This does not mean that it isnt worth it.. I did before and after pictures and I have to say that the most significant thing that I noticed (besides the addition of the width) was there was a slight rounding effect and it does give the picture a little more clarity. The glass is of professional quality and the entire system is well built. I do not notice any loose parts or rattling. It is solid!~I see it comes with a traveling case- Whats on the inside and is it secure? The case is like a soft/hard cover. Rounded edges, well stitched and tightly packed. Easy zip, strong zipper. Comes with a small carabiner clip. The inside- firm foam glued on the bottom with one hole perfectly shaped to hold your lens (without the holding clip) in place. The other side has a mesh pocket where the cloth and clip can rest. Seriously, the lens isn't moving around in there. If you're worried about possible scratching, my suggestion would be to just lay the cloth on the lens right before closing.As someone on the go, this can fit in a bag or purse easily and can be quickly set up and ready for that perfect picture. I will be taking this little guy everywhere! This would be a great gift for that person you know who ALWAYS take pictures! We all know one! Why not make their pictures a little more spectacular? You really can't go wrong with this lens and how simple it is to set up and use. I'm a huge fan of ANSEL lenses. They pay attention to every detail and it shows in the quality of their lenses and in packaging. I've said it before, but they really are a step above the other competition. I own this lens in clip-on and with the iphone case attachment. I've found that it's much easier to use the clip-on while taking photos on the go like hiking, riding, events, etc. The other lens with the carrying case comes in handy while I'm at work or using my tripod. The clip-on lens also comes with Ansel's durable carrying case that is equipped with a glass cleaner and buckle hook attached to the cases which made it easy to attach to my bag while on the go. The only issue I had with the clip-on lens was that it didnt fit over my phone case. I had to remove my case. I'm sure this isn't the same with every case. It just varies. I'd also like to see the lens not cover my flash.I received this product at a discounted rate in exchange for my honest and unbiased opinion. I'd definitely recommend this product to friends and family and will continue to use and purchase Ansel products in the future.
