Q: I had a previous Soft heat pad! Just wondernig if it is plastick with matreail on top? I dont like the plastic ones there not very comfy!

Yes its a flexible plastic with a soft material covering . We've had other heating pads made of a brittle plastic but this plastic is not so brittle .

Q: How hot does each setting get?

The highest setting burns me. So I usually use the second highest.

Q: Why does the red light flash?

If it unplugs from the pad while on the light will flash and it won't heat. You need to plug that part back in and unplug the plug from the outlet/power source for a couple seconds. Plug back in and it should work again.
