This is great - just what I was looking for
This is great - just what I was looking for. I'm a school counselor and was looking for a problem solving book for primary students. I love that the kids can pick their solutions and see the potential consequences. It reminds me of those old choose your own adventure books.

Great for exploring options
My 4 year old really enjoyed this book, especially when I substituted the names for her friends for the people in the book. She was able to explore her options and the realistic consequences. It was great.

Great Content, Just Not Very Much Content
This book leaves a lot of room for you to discuss and explore with your child. It is very well set-up and thought-out. I have gone through it with my son a couple of times and felt it was very helpful. However, I wish there was more for my money. The book presents just one scenario and this scenario doesn't take up very many pages. I am still considering whether to buy more books for this author. Price, however, is a factor that is holding me back.

An essential addition to a young child's library
We own the entire Problem Solving series by Elizabeth Crary. This book (and the rest in the series) presents the reader with a realistic problem and allows the child to choose the outcome of the story. It is a lovely way to help a child explore consequences in a safe manner. I find that solving problems that are 'fictional' while calm and not emotional, helps children build the skills to handle these situations when they do occur. I enthusiastically recommend this book.
