These casters were well made. However,, they did not meet my needs.. They didn't work under the legs of my heavy marble topped coffee table with narrow metal legs. I wanted to protect my oriental rug, laid on top of my living room carpet, on which the table sits. The legs very easily slid off the casters in this configuration.

We bought these casters to keep our wheeled couch and club chair from rolling around on our persian rug. The casters grip the carpet well, but the wheels roll right off of them with the slightest push. These probably work very well for a normal furniture leg.

The problem with these is that if somebody sits down in the chair with a backward movement, these tip over and the chair falls off them. Does anybody know of a brand that has a wide base but a narrow area to place the chair leg? These work fine until somebody tries to use the furniture, and then they fail.

I was setting up two TwinXL beds in a newly carpeted room and didn't want the 2" square bed posts grinding holes in the carpet so I bought these. They have worked perfectly so far. It spreads out the weight across a larger area and hasn't crushed the carpet fibers down. I am pleased with them so far.
