Nostalgic
I’ve fallen in love with this pen since my childhood, personally love the old version of this more. But the quality is always there. BEWARE when you dropped it though, if you’re unlucky enough to drop it by the tip on a hard floor, the pencil will be totally ruined cause the metal tip will be smashed and bending in makes it impossible for the carbon to come out.

Good Solid Pencil. Not Flashy But Gets the Job Done.
This is a good solid pencil. Aesthetically it's not the most "pleasing to the eye" but from a functionality and comfort standpoint it is a good solid pencil. It has just enough weight to feel solid in your hand and doesn't feel like one of those "cheap, plastic models". At the same time, it is light enough that you aren't overly aware of its weight and presence in your hand. While it does have "grips" on the barrel they are not overly large and you don't get that feeling you're gripping a koozie like you do with most padded pencils. Also, the grips are made of a hard, solid rubber material as opposed to the cheap foam you usually find on gripped pencils. It's put together well, doesn't appear to have any "loose" parts. The only hiccup I have seen with mine is that that the lead advancement will "hang" sometimes when you click the top to advance the lead. By this I mean the top will hang and you have to release it and press again to get a full advancement of the lead. Minor, I can live with that.

Finally got a Rotring for this obsessed mechpencilist!!!
I don't like to spend a lot on mechanical pencils as I fear I will lose them, so I am glad Rotring came out with this affordable pencil that is pretty slick. The best thing is the weight of the unit; it just sits in my hand perfectly, and has some substance to it which I like. Think I will get another one, and save my pennies for the one that costs $25 or so...that one I believe is all metal, and will just hope I don't lose it.

Very awesome quality!
I have one of them that worked for me for 22 years. Still, it’s very good, but as you push it down the amount of tip that comes out is not short enough to prevent it from breaking. So, I decided to order a new one. It’s the same color that I had previously. I enjoy writing with it because I use a 2B lead that makes it works smoother.

Great mechanical pencil
I am a geologist and frequently need a sharp pencil handy to annotate maps, etc. In addition to looking nice, I like the pencil's non-slip grip for my fingers. The reason I have not normally used mechanical pencils in the past is the frustrating tendency for their lead to be constantly breaking when used. I don't know if it is the way this pencil is engineered or because I ordered the thicker 1.0 mm lead, but the lead has not broken once yet. I am now a believer and will be ordering backup pencils soon.

Disappointed
I bought this brand, because I used to have one back in Europe years ago. I was expecting a Made in Germany product, and I was very disappointed when I received the pencils and all of them had "Made in China" stickers on them. The mechanism feels very cheap, it does not click smoothly at all. I expect it to break the lead constantly, which I encountered before in a cheap mechanical pencil. Most likely will be returning them.

Handles well
Only used this for one day but so far, so good. Comfortable to use, the mechanics work well while the 1mm lead writes well and not too fine.
