Seriously small copy of a great medical bag
I had originally bought what I thought was the same bag a few years ago on Amazon. Not available anymore. In fact it doesn’t even show up in my purchased list. This one is poor by comparison. Not a total loss but not close to a copy of the original. The price was right around what one would expect but the quality and size were not. This and the better one I bought years before is not a combat medic bag. This is what was called in the late 1980’s a combat lifesaver bag. The idea behind it was actually very good. Back in those days each Infantry platoon had one medic. I’m talking Infantry, whether in the Airborne division, Ranger Battalions or regular light infantry. At some point it was mandated to have 1 or 2 Infantrymen cross trained in combat medicine. Not as thoroughly trained as the 91B (combat medical Military Occupational Skill identifier, since changed) but very good nonetheless. I think the course was a week or 2 long and involved Triage, medical stabilization for transport and starting an Intravenous line using Ringers Lactate. The bag you were issued upon completion along with a nice paper diploma was a green, nylon tri compartment bag that held 9 pounds of medical equipment. Bandages, 2 IV bags, Tubing, needles and tape. In theory once the objective was seized and secured the combat life saver would take his bag an assist the medic in treating and prepping the wounded by moving them to a designated casualty collection point. These were the days way before manufactured Tourniquets and quick clot bandages. The bag itself was a good sized one. But small enough to be crammed in the Alice Pack, commonly know as the Alice Pack. Aside from the description I’ve given it also had the letter “US” with a medical Caduceus symbol silk screened in between the letters. Moving on to this bag. It’s is very small and not to authentic size and bears no markings. The material is similar but just a bit thinner. The plastic buckle closure won’t stand up to field use neither will the bag I suspect but it’s small size makes it excellent for a vehicle or home/shop first aid kit. You willnot be able to fit an IV bag in there and obviously this one is not designed for that. All in all the bag is decent but definitely not on par with the original. If you want a decent light bag for light or very little indoor use then by allMeans have at it. But I recommend and original if you can find one or some of the better thicker nylon one that i have seen available. Sorry about the long review but this bag is too tinny to be considered even remotely legit for outdoor or heavy use

Not the best
You get what you pay for. Material is very thin, not recommended for outdoor use. May be useful for a vehicle med kit.

Pathetic !
I am a former Navy Corpsman and this bag is a scaled down model of a medical bag. Very Scaled down.

This is not of the quality I was expecting, ...
This is not of the quality I was expecting, very light weight, reminding me of material in a very, very cheap rain coat.Definitely not worth the price if looking for something to have in an outdoor setting as it would not stand up to any abuse at all.My be ok in a vehicle but not in the rough!!
