Not a job for me. I should’ve sent it back but forgot to do so. You will probably have to have a professional install this as it requires some soldering on a massive amount of pins.

I needed to replace my wife's ipad lightning port due to becoming intermittent. This product was really the only inexpensive way to solve it short of buying a whole new iPad or Logic board assembly. The part shipped was marked as: 821-1360-A on the assembly, where the part in the iPad was: 821-1716-A. After a little search work, I found that the 1360 is a compatible assembly. After disassembling most of the iPad using iFixit website instructions, and removing the logic board, I then followed a youtube video "iPad 5 Charging Port Replacement" from Kabonster who did an excellent job of detailing the work needed to remove the old flex circuit from the logic board and aligning and soldering the new. You need a Hot Air workstation set to 400C, lots of flux, low temp solder paste, and alcohol wipes. You will likely need a 40-80 power stereo-optic microscope to ensure proper alignment and soldering of the extremely small pads. All told it took me about an hour and half to accomplish the task. This job requires A LOT of Patience, so please be warned, if you don't have a steady hand as well as patience, let someone else do the work for you. I hope this helps.

Everything was good

My charging port was bad and this is a good replacement. Just know that this does not have a snap on connector. You have to remove the solder on the old one and solder this one on. If you can't solder small connections, pay to have it done.

I charged my iPad Air first gen A1474 twice no Issues.

Bought as a gift to someone

It worked for what it is. Not much more.
