Perfect for soldering in tight tough places
This is my 2nd one. My first was the unit without the accessories, and I wore it out with work on motorcycles.It is a wonderful tool for pinpoint work in tight, cramped spots. It paid for itself in my field with 1 job. I recommend this unit because it is inexpensive, and it works!

Very portable
This soldering iron works great. Heats quickly and since its butane instead of Electric in it is very portable.You can take it anywhere and it still works.Needs a stand so that it can be set down safely.It does have a cover that protects while it's cooling down.Overall a great tool.

Is it lite?
By the time you figure out how to light it and know it's still lite, it's out of butane.This is one of those items that will go in the junk drawer and maybe someday see daylight again.

Extremely light duty and poorly built
This soldering iron is poorly built. The onboard propane tank doesn't seem to be big enough, as I kept having to refill it every couple of minutes. The igniter works whenever it wants, and sometimes it is difficult to tell if it is light after trying to light it. The plastic is extremely light weight, and began to deform after it pressed the tip into the wires that I was soldering.

Works as advertised - nice set
Arrived quickly, in a nice plastic case. I feared the adding of Butane, but I acquired a small can and added it to the tool - as instructed. A little messy - but not the tool's fault.Lights quickly - nice little source of specific heat, especially for tight spaces. I wanted the shrink wrap tip. I used that for some shrink wrap wire connectors, and it worked perfectly.I believe it will solder just as well. Highly recommend - would buy again.

What a nice torch!
his product is exactly the same as the Bernzomatic ST-500, but for less money!My 30-year old Radio Shack butane soldering iron finally broke (can't say I didn't get my money's worth!) and I looked and looked for a replacement. This one fills the bill. I love the various tips and the shrink-tubing attachment. I also love the fact that it's self-igniting (yay!), and the storage box is a nice touch.Couldn't ask for more!

Works okay cheaply made feel
Works pretty good for soldering and as a lighter and a heat gun but it just feels cheaply made only downside I can see but worth the money in my book heats up super duper fast takes a while to cool off though be aware of that
