A wonderful read for beginning gardeners
Thank you for a book that is quick and easy to follow with useful information. This is a fine book to start gathering information for the people with gardening iinterest but no experience. I will recommend it to friends.

Run on Sentences Holy Goodness
This book was awful. I think I only learned one thing from it.... and that was that corn has to be grown a few inches away from each other, and that you should grow smaller crops in between them. Other than that, this book seemed to be written by a high schooler who is trying to make their word count on an essay. One example of this is "It is nice to have fresh grown vegetables all throughout the year, especially if you live in an area that doesn’t get fresh vegetables all throughout the year...". And then sentence continued for another 2 or 3 lines of text before a period was made. In not the best in grammar myself, but to write a book like this is crazy, and hard to get through. The author also kept repeating topics from one page to the next. It was a pointless read, and don't recommend people wasting their time reading it.

Nancy Ross gives easy to read and good information
Nancy Ross gives easy to read and good information. I wouldn't say it's a complete guide, but for a beginner like myself it's sufficient information.I've read more books from her and can really recommend this one.

Great Book...!
'Gardening: The Complete Guide To Vegetable Gardening...' is a great book for beginners. It is truly complete with the basics first time gardeners will need to get started. Even seasoned gardeners will find this book useful as I did.

Nicely written but could have been longer
I think this was well written and provided some good basic knowledge. However, basic is the key word. I think it could have been longer and gone a bit more in-depth with some aspects, like canning. She does not mention the fact that water bath canning is not appropriate for most produce. Most things will require a pressure canner. But it is a great start!

Very informative
Short and sweet, gave great information on the A to Z of gardening. This should be enough for anyone to start a nice productive garden.

No useful information, ghostwritten for an internet marketer.
This book wasn't cribbed off any of my books but I strongly suspect it is written from somebody else's work. There are no clear "how to do it" directions here that will help a beginning gardener. This is so flatly and blandly written that there's no interest in the pages for the reader, and the information, which does not come from personal experience, is well-nigh useless. "Nancy Ross" does not even seem to be a real person, as her photo was taken from iStockphoto. Find a book written by an actual gardener, and not an internet marketer that uses ghostwriters.

Good book for the absolute beginner
My grandfather was an expert gardener. Reading Nancy's book was like having an expert here to help - just like my grandad. For a beginner it made lits of sense.

Super Simple. For the Money I paid
This book is ultra basic, if you have never, touched dirt before, and had something grow when you were in that grade 3 project, this is the book for you, however it does not address container gardening and does not go into the available varieties of vegetables in North America to grow. The canning process is vague and not all vegetables do well canned. I will give it to my grandaughter, to use. There are no pictures or diagrams,
