Alnicov Adjustable Mouthpiece Puller Tool Remover Holder Tools for Brass-Wind Instruments(Yellow)

I recently acquired an old paraffin pressure stove, a Primus 97. This model of stove has what's called a lipstick burner. There's a lipstick shaped vaporiser tube that screws into the top of the tank, and on top of that sits a bowl shaped burner with a skirt that slips over the lipstick part (so the opposite of a brass instrument mouthpiece where the mouthpiece slots inside the instrument). Sometime with this type of burner the bowl's skirt gets stuck on the lipstick part. A mouthpice puller works perfectly to prise the two apart: the bowl part is cradled in the top part of the puller and the bottom part is bolted above the large nut at the base of the lipstick. Then turn the wing nuts. This was the cheapest mouthpiece puller I could find on Amazon, next day delivery, problem solved. Very happy.

My daughter has just started trumpet lessons, and within one hour of bringing the trumpet home the mouthpiece was stuck. No amount of pulling, or tapping gently with a wooden mallet would remove it. This product is fab. It feels nice and heavy. The pieces are adjustable so you can fit it perfectly to the mouthpiece of trumpets, and other instruments. I attached it to the stuck solid mouthpiece, you have to align both sides evenly, and then slowly turn the screws. It loosened the stuck mouthpiece after just a few turns. Highly recommended and a must have for anyone playing these types of instruments, as I’ve since learned they will almost inevitably end up stuck solid at some point.

Works a trick and this is now housed in our brass band practise room waiting to do its magic again the next time someone like me is stupid enough to drop their instrument on the floor mouthpiece first

It arrived the same day and worked really well.I bought a bugle and found that the mouthpiece was well and truly stuck when I tried to clean it. This mouthpiece puller had it out in no time.

This tool does not come in any kind of official packaging, just cardboard box which is disappointing.It does the job of removing the mouthpiece but depending on how stuck the mouthpiece is you will require to use pliers or something to assist turning the threads at the highest resistance, because the wing nut head is too small making difficult at the high resistance.They could do with larger wings or a handle to allow turning much easier.However, it does remove the mouthpiece in the end.

Worked a treat to remove a stuck trumpet mouthpiece.
