Hi-Fi Bliss!
This is my first time listening to any Focal headphone...and also anything I would consider to be hi-fi. I have had other headphones in the sub-500 price range that I enjoyed. These are just on another level.Pros - Very comfortable. Yes 450g is heavy for a headphone, but the weight is distributed so well that they almost just feel light. I can wear these for hours just fine.Very clear. As in their name, they are just clear. Not spiky in the treble at all, but it is present for sure. These really bring out the vocals in music which I love! These do have bass, but by any means these are not bassy headphones. So do not buy them if you are wanting that. The bass here is done very well though. It's present and clean. Yes it will slam if the song has it.Details are very nice and I would consider these just as they are described on many sites: warm/neutral sound. Slight bump in the lower bass from the original clear too. These are also pretty easy to drive. They do like some power, but you can definitely run them on something as simple as a phone if needed.Cons -If I had to give it one knock its that the soundstage is not as wide for open back. This has been stated everywhere else also. It has stage for sure, but that is not what these excel at. I'm ok with it because everything else is done so very well.Price?? Depending on how comfortable you are paying this much for headphones. I wanted to experience this level of sound in a headphone, so I did the splurge. No regrets.Overall I am still in the early stages of listening..but I had to give these a highly recommended review. Focal deserves that much from me!

A whole new listening experience.
I'm a professional musician and I mix/master my own music almost exclusively on headphones. I've been doing this on Sennheiser HD6XX for some time now and always had problems with getting my low ends correctly dialed in. After extensive research and trying some other headphones like Audeze, I decided to sell my kidney and get these. They sound incredible and it still has an overall flat sound, but with very dialed in punchy lows that are not hyped. The balance between quality, comfort and quality is the best I've experienced so far.

Omg, best headphones ever!
Nothing to write here except that this headphone sounds out of this world. I am a game composer and I’m been using this on my main studio and on the road. It’s expensive but it is worth it!

The most overrated piece of studio equipment I have ever owned.
The most overrated piece of studio equipment I have ever owned. Even the lower level Senheisers have better sound, and can handle more volume. I also own a pair of $99 Pioneer studio headphones that sound almost exactly like these, but can handle higher volumes. The one good thing I can say about them is that they are beautiful, but if you're buying this for studio use this shouldn't matter much.
