Out with the old, in with the new.
Replacement for Suburban Rv/camper water heater. I bought a used camper that was only 1 year old. When I replaced the rod it should have been around the 2 year mark. It’s recommended to change yearly and I agree. Replacement is easy. Remove old rod. Rinse tank good with garden nozzle or similar until clean water. Put new rod in. I took a little wire brush and cleaned threads prior to install. I’ll check this new 1 in 1 year and update.

very easy to install
Easy installation for this 9" long product. Removed the old one, carefully cleaned around the opening, then gently slid the new 9" in until it was buried to the hilt. Then I very gently turned it in a slow clockwise manner until it was fully seated. I did need a cigarette afterwards.

Afte 2 weeks in the water heater (in the off setting) it had eroded significantly near the front end
The anode rod on the right has been in my rig since 2018, water always being in the heater but turned off during the winter. Still in pretty good shape. I replaced it with this new one (on the left) about 2 weeks ago. Never turned on the heater after this install. I decided to clean it out again today and look at the amount that was eaten away in just 2 weeks after install. You can see at the front it's quite worn away and the old one is still in pretty good shape. I put the old one back in. My old one was in my rig when I bought it in 2018. I want to try and find the maker of that one. It looks very good and has done a great job. As for the new one, I wouldn't purchase again.
