An amazingly bad deal. Not what I have come to expect from Amazon.
I bought this a day after getting an Ultomato (TM) tomato cage "set" from Home Depot for $7.99. I included three 5 ft. steel core vinyl covered stakes and nine clip-ons as three sets of 3. Problem was, the store only had one set but I was just gifted two tomato plants by a friend. So in addition I got two of the same 5 ft. stakes at $2.48 each and figured I would just use old cloth strips to hold the plant up.Being an Amazon junkie, I decided to scan for this at Amazon the next day. They had the same cage in a three-pack for $29.99 but I only needed one more. So I searched some more and came upon this item. Unfortunately what I "read" was not three clip-ons but "three sets of three clip-ons" based on the cage set I got But there were only 3 clip-ons PERIOD. At that price, assuming I would get another stake from Home Depot at $2.48, my "roll your own Ultomato" cage would cost a hefty 3 * ($2.48 + $5.12) = $22.80 or nearly three times the cost of the one I got at Home Depot. No, it's not the first time I got burned and I'm sure that it won't be the last either. I just can't figure out how some things can be so expensive on Amazon and others so reasonable. Also, Amazon product descriptions are often too terse and incomplete (but typically better than other web sites). The lesson -- Read carefully and compare before you click. I not only wasted money, but a lot of time including the time to do this little review.

Grealt Idea for a Tomato Cage
I used this method for the first time this year. A great idea. Can disassemble for storage. The cage can be put together in differing combinations depending on the type of plant. Might not be rigid enough in windy areas. Also will require long stakes for non determinant tomatoes.7/16/2013It is important to install the clips on the pole with the clip opening against the pole. I was not careful and put one clip with the mouth facing outward. The growing vine pushed the clip off the pole and the whole setup collapsed. In any case, I would not recommend for non determinant tomatoes. The setup is just not heavy enough for heavy vines

Could use improvement
I bought these and the poles to go with them in order to support a tomato plant. Apparently it is an indeterminate plant and little did I know that it would grow like crazy. I thought this system was the perfect answer, but as other reviewers have mentioned, they do bend fairly easily and many of the end hooks got too loose to work effectively. Perhaps they would do better with a light-weight plant. The concept was good, it just isn't strong enough.

Just What Was Needed!!
Have used these trellis cross pieces for years for my Heritage Spring and Fall bearing raspberries. I purchased my poles and cross pieces at Walmart. When I had enough poles by purchasing the complete poles plus cross pieces kits as the bushes multiplied, I just bought the cross pieces. For two years in a row Walmart does not carry any part of this trellis. My original cross pieces are 6 years old and getting brittle. The bulk package was just what I needed to fully repair my trellis with a few spares for next year.

Allows for connecting several individual cages together for mutual support.
These are extra cross pieces for the three-pole plant cage system. I say system, because I have expanded my cage system to three vertical poles by four vertical poles, all linked together in a boxed grid pattern. This interconnected box system will allow for plant (tomatoes) weight to be shared across six different, vertical cage areas, all supporting each other. Buying these cross pieces in the bulk pack of 12 s-packs really gives me a lot of horizontal supports for the fruit laden vines. The pricing for the bulk 12 pack is a real bargain.

the math doesn't work
The arms are fine, but be forewarned that "Contains 12 packs; each package contains three 12-inch stake arms" somehow does not mean you get 36 arms. This would have been a good price for 36 arms; it is a terrible price for 12. Fortunately my seller (All Goods All Day) understood my position and was flexible, but had I known in the first place, I would have simply ordered more cages; even though I didn't need more stakes, I would have gotten more arms for less money.

Pretty Good Stake Arms.
The stakearms were good, but not great. They do not extend and the ends would benefit if they were hinged. However, they are as advertised and purposeful and shipped quickly.

Not Durable Enough
These arms do not stand up to normal use. The stakes are great, and I have re-purposed them as stand-alone stakes for peppers and egg plants. I have gone back to cages for tomatoes.
