This item, whilst it's very comfortable, doesn't have arms. I chose it for space-saving reasons. I hope this answers your query. Good luck.

Q: Is there an ugly zip at the back of the seat?

Yes there is a zip but you can put a small throw over the back of the chair to cover it up

Q: Is this suitable for adult?

Yes I have one for my office, im 5.11 size 16 i love it, the back part is only small so i wouldnt recommend if you plan to sit on it for hours
