Great flashlight
This flashlight is easy to use and is incredibly bright at its higher settings. It works both as a way of seeing in the dark and protecting oneself at night. I run at night and have used it to keep loose, threatening dogs at bay, as the bright light temporarily blinds them. The light is also sturdy and could be used as a weapon as a last resort. Highly recommended.

Extremely bright, easy on/off switch
I have many many high end flashlights. This is my first fenix. I wasn't sure if the light would live up to the rated lumens.. But this thing is UNREAL BRIGHT!! The tail cap button is nice. Only thing I wish it had was tail cap standing ability. Otherwise phenomenal little light. Still can't beleive the lumen output on this little light. And battery life is exactly as advertised too. Very good!

It's quite the wonderful little flash banger
Bright light, variable light intensity settings, blinding strobe, very user-friendly controls, amazing dual back buttons, light tap main button for temporary on, light tap temp strobe, light taps are silent, instantly get to what you need in a pinch, last mode memory, tactical, stealth, room/street/field sweepable. Love it

This light will surprise you
This light is brighter than my last edc. Its sends more light down range than a stream light HLX. This lights sends mass amounts of candela and blinding amounts of lumens wherever you point this thing. This is the light I was waiting for. You will not be disappointed period. Pull the perverbial trigger and pick one up. I worried about what I might get paying this kind of money, it was so worth it with this one. Like, da*n, this is what I want. I have the power of the sun at fully charged. And it last about an hour at those lumens besides the step downs when the heat sensors step it down. It does get hot but this is normal for high output lights. Just watch the head when you get it all hot and bothered. Hope this helps. I’ll buy nothing other than finix now.

Pretty bright, could be better.
Yes, this flashlight is pretty bright, but it would be so much better if it had a focusing head, which would also extend the lighting distance. I have lights 1/3 the price with a focusing head that reach farther. Also, the button that cycles through the different brightness levels should be replaced with a twist type selector knob. It's a nuisance to have to cycle through 4 brightness levels to get to the one I want, when a simple twist knob could do it in half a second. Other than that, I's pretty good. It seems well built. I'll probably keep it.

Didn't last long- maybe this one is just a fluke?
It worked great at first. Able to charge it up initially and was able to use battery and the flashlight until the battery needed to be recharged for the first time. From that point on, the flashlight wouldn’t work. It’s like the flashlight didn’t recognize that the battery was connected. The battery chargers LED display indicates that it is fully charged and just to be sure I tried a second charger with an LCD display which showed that the battery works. I even did a discharge cycle and recharge cycle to be sure that the battery was actually working. But the flashlight wouldn’t turn on with that battery from that point forward. This is so unusual because every Fenix/I’ve ever had has been rock solid and incredibly durable and well-made. This one feels the same way, but this flashlight just won’t work . And because the battery itself is an unusual size, I can't test three battery by putting it Inc another flashlight.

Perfect Light
I bought the PD40 a few weeks before purchasing this one. The PD40 is a good light- but the collar switch isn’t their greatest idea. This one is perfect for my job working for a concert venue. Bright AF, and switches work great. The beam has a ton of distance, and spread. My only issue is the battery. You have to take it out and connect it to charge. Not only that but, even if I don’t use it for a couple days and plug it in, it turn red- meaning it doesn’t hold 100% of its charge. Other than that, it’s perfect for me.

nice
although it is a nice flashlight and the battery held up to a week on a charge depending on the setting.but after a month and a half the battery isn't any good anymore. It stopped working and won't charge.so have to buy a new battery because the return time was 30 days and it is past that.
