Such a lovely little bbq. Easy to put together and just the right size to tuck away in the shed or take camping.

A great little barbecue, which we have used a dozen times in the last five weeks and I suspect it will last us a few years. Fairly easy to assemble and reasonably sturdy. Great design. Five star rating reflects the price - this is good value, and although you would probably get much better quality by paying more, for the money this is much better than we had expected.

This unit looks good and on the face of it, it should be a little gem but......if you are sent the model with a charcoal pan rather than a grill to hold the fuel, you will be very disappointed! My came with a pan which has no ventilation whatsoever! So, despite opening the vents in the base, the charcoal never really heated up and the next morning most of the charcoal remained in the pan unburnt! Some of the food cooked VERY slowly. If you read other reviews you will see that the units supplied with a pan are a big disappointment with the reviewer often saying that they reverted to drilling ventilation holes in the pan! So if you are going to buy, make sure yours has a charcoal grill and NOT a solid, unventilated pan.

I bought this bbq while waiting for my Weber to arrive. Served me well and actually managed to make a couple of bbqs on it. Still kept it for future just in case.The bbq is very small though. So, you will not be able to cook more than 4 sausages or couple of stakes at a time. Just something to be aware of.

The BBQ itself is the perfect size for two people, small enough to store in our flat and easy to carry. However, when we first used the BBQ we couldn’t get it to light. After a while we realised it was the bottom tray that wasn’t allowing any airflow, as it’s a solid tray with no holes. I’m pretty sure this isn’t the original design from the Hairy Bikers and leads me to think this isn’t genuine. Once holes were drilled in the bottom tray the BBQ works really well, but I wouldn’t advise buying when there’s similar on the market that’ll work first time! Save yourself the hassle.

As previous reviewers have stated, the product you get varies from the Amazon pictures. I assume they changed the wire grid to a hastily improvised aluminium dish for H&S reasons/to prevent the chance of any hot ash that may fall through the 'pictured' wire grid dropping through the lower air vents & combusting the surface the bbq is sitting on (Weber had the same concern but instead elected to keep the wire grid and removed the air vents below the coals on their small bbq instead).Tried the bbq 'As Standard' and it's not fit for purpose, there is virtually no air-draw to feed the coals, drilling the aluminium tray helps slightly but it's still pretty awful, so after a couple of cooks I bought a 24cm heavy duty stainless steel mesh/grid (£13) from Ebay & binned the tray (sealing the bolt hole below with aluminium foil).It's now the great 'small' bbq I originally wanted, just make sure it's placed on a non-flammable surface and most importantly don't carry it around whilst charcoal is hot

Brought last minute for a mini camping trip- so much better than a disposable bbq easy to carry and clean highly recommended
