I wanted an espresso maker, but the standard machines are expensive and take up valuable real estate in my kitchen. I saw this one during my research and the first thought was that I could enjoy a shot of espresso on camping trips, so I gave it a try. Simple to operate, quick and easy! I used Amazon espresso pods and it was delicious. Coffee flavors vary by brand, but since I'm not a snob about it, so it works great for me. So as well as enjoying a quick pick-me-up at home, I'm dialing up my glamping action a notch!

I’ve been wanting an espresso maker for awhile but they are big and expensive. So I thought I’d try a manual one. This did not disappointment. It turned out soooo good. You do have to have very fine ground coffee. I just ordered espresso fine ground coffee on Amazon as well and it was good also. Very happy with this.

I have been using this for a couple of months to make coffee (using grounds+filter, not pods) at the office and am very satisfied with the performance. Flavor is not at the same level as a home espresso maker, but is probably 8/10 as good which is impressive in my opnion. This still blows away the drip coffee in the office, and is worth the effort.Your coffee needs to be fine ground just like making espresso at home, drip ground size will not make flavorful coffee with this maker. I tend to use ~ 1 to 2 increments finer for ground setting on a capresso grinder for this unit vs what I use for my counter top espresso maker to achieve the best tradeoff between flavor and ease of brewing. If you grind too fine it is difficult to press the plunger and takes time/patience to brew, so it takes some trial and error to figure out the "right" grind size to use with your grinder.Making coffee is easy, just make sure the rubber "filter lid" is facing the correct direction. I fill the filter almost all the way to the top with grounds and water level to max, to make a decent cortado every morning. Cleanup us relatively quick; just a quick rinse under running water after tapping the used grounds out of the filter.The key to great coffee is using good quality beans that are recently roasted (ideally within a couple of weeks), and if you use good coffee this unit will bring out a lot of the great flavor that you would expect. I typically grind just enough beans every morning for use that day.I recommend experimenting with the first few cups to figure out the right grind size and water temp to achieve the character of coffee you enjoy. There is a learning curve as expected using new equipment, but it's not steep, and don't judge the unit on the first cup you make. It can make good coffee, just have fun experimenting until you find the right combination of coffee and water quantity, grind size, and water temp for your preference.I am happy with this purchase. If/when it wears out I will buy another one to continue making great coffee away from home!

i have had this for about a month and have bin using it almost daily. i love how the espresso comes out and fills the room with the smell of coffee. there are a few things you have to know that do make it a bit of a pain to use1. don't expect the nespresso capsule to work all the time . i originally got this for the fact that i could use the pods but it only works about 50% of the time. this dos not take a way frome that fact that it still makes amazing espresso.2.clening it as the most part is easy but can be a bit messy . i recommend having a ziplock bag to pore out the coffee into makes the clean up way easierif you can deal with this than i do recommend it the price for me was what sold it for me because compared with an actual cost of an espresso machine this is the best way to go.

This is just not a good product. I bought this for my wife. We used it once when it arrived and it worked fine. However, the second time we used it, the push handle broke and the body began to leak. This product is made of very cheap plastic which broke because it could not withstand the heat of the boiled water used to make the coffee. Definitely not worth the price.

Returned this. It looked nice and seemed well built, but it produced very weak and lifeless espresso. If you like weak watered down coffee in small quantities, this would be good for you. It was packaged very nicely however. I wanted it to work, sadly it fell flat.

when i was looking at the reviews for this, it seemed to be a different listing so i really took a chance on this, but I love it! I got it so i could have an upstairs coffee situation in our bedroom because I'm trying to become a better more awake morning person. Im not an espresso snob but it tastes good and is very easy to use!

Well built, easy to use, supports nespresso pods of ground coffee, makes a good cup when your on the road, much better than aeropress - wish it had a carrying case, otherwise I love it so much I bought a second one
