We All Sing With the Same Voice

I first came across this book as a preschool teacher a couple of years ago. I liked the message and the song is nice. The children I played the audio book to always sang along and learned the lyrics. It was one of their favorites so I purchased it for my daughter’s mini library.

I bought it to share a core memory of my childhood with my young family members. Didn’t come with the cd but it’s still great

The beautiful song and inclusive message make this a wonderful choice for my preschool students today, when our world isn’t as friendly as it should be. I want all my students to feel loved and welcome and proud of themselves, and books like this help me help them.

This story is an absolute favorite of my children. They love the pictures and the song that goes along with it. Wonderful message.Also a classroom favorite of mine as I am a teacher of young children.This book was given to me as a gift from my cooperating teacher when I was student teaching 12 years ago. Purchased many copies since.

Year after year, this is one of the favorite songs/books in my preschool classroom! The chorus is easy to sing along with, and the verses are catchy - the children love hearing it so much that they catch on quickly! The only slight criticism is that the song goes pretty quickly through the verses, so be prepared to turn the pages as you listen along, and be sure to look at the book with the music playing so you can spend more time on the pictures. I had to purchase a second copy (no CD, paperback) so 2-4 children could read along with the a teacher.

I had checked this book out from a library and my preK class LOVED it. At first I just read it, then I tried to sing it (while trying to remember it from Sesame Street). The library version came with a CD and once I was able to get the song into my phone and play the song through my bluetooth speaker, it was a BIG hit. I originally checked out the book because the "Second Step" social/emotional program that my school uses, recommended using "We All Sing With the Same Voice" on the first lesson about being welcoming. Eventually I had to return the book to the library, so I bought this paperback version. I still had the song so I didn't need a book with the CD. Anyway, the book has a great message and my students love to sing along with the it.

All the toddlers loved this book during story time. They would try to sing along to it. Love that it comes with a CD. I had to buy it for my own book collection when I had my first baby and he is 9months now and he loves to look at the pictures and likes to hear me sing him the book.

I have been wanting this book for so long and I finally found it with CD in a reasonable price. Children love catchy tones and enjoy singing together. It is a wonderful book to teach diversity.Just love it!

児童英語・英会話で教えている先生方は皆さん思われていることと思いますが、中期・長期的な学習到達目標というものの設定はなかなか難しいです。1年後、2年後ぐらいであれば、具体的な内容も提示しやすいですが、週1回のレッスンで、4年、5年以上の学習期間後、果たして子どもたちは何ができるようになるっているのか、それを具体的に保護者の方々に示すことは難しいことです。英検5級・4級を中学生になるまでにとろう、と言う意見はよく聞きます。英語検定以外に、私はこの絵本を小学6年を卒業するときの学習到達レベルの最終目標として使用させてもらっています。(学習期間4年以上を目安にしています)語彙・文法的な難易度も中学校1年生の学習内容ぐらいだと思いますし、作品の内容もglobal diversityが表現されています。CDも付属していて、文字を読むのが苦手な子どもでも、歌で内容を覚えられるという利点もあります。発表会に暗唱したり、音読したり、歌ったりといろいろ使える幅は広いと思います。保護者の方々も、何年か後にうちの子がこれを読めるように（歌えるように）なるのか〜と楽しみにされていらっしゃいます。

I can't help the fact that every time I read this story to my son I end up singing it rather than reading the words. The pictures are adorable and bright and 20 month old totally love it. Must have this book in the rotation.
