Read more

Five Stars
This version of Mein Kampf truly does allow the reader to form their own opinions on the man and the movement then governing system he stood for without others saying in. The problem with most translations is they force an opinion into your mind. This translations is highly accurate and easy to read without all the bias you find in others.

Good read, would recommend
Good read, would recommend. Sheds light on early 20th century European history and one man's interpretation of the first world war and the after-effects. Filled with tirades and arguments against parliamentary democracy, Jews, Communism, prostitution, race mixing, and more as well as Hitlers views on how to counter these threats to his nationalistic vision. And despite long tirades and arguments, always eventful and never boring. Some notes are included to provide basic background for readers who might not be familiar with German history and cultural references.

Don't buy the Kindle version
Do not get the Kindle version. It's awfully formatted. Many words with no spaces, random vertical words, and things that quite frankly just aren't readable.

Poor translation. Downplays the bile.
I had hoped this translation might improve on the unexpurgated but difficult to find early English translation of the work. Regrettably, it is revisionist, downplaying much of the hate contained in the original.Better to wait for a translation of the recently published (2018) German edition, or not go down this particular path and rely upon the many excellent histories of Nazi Germany and it's meglomaniac leader. Histories of dictators, including their writings can be fascinating But for most of us books that also focus on the actions of the Civic body and individuals around the beast may be the best way to avoid repetition. In this regard I recommend Richard Evans' recent multivolume history of the Third Reich.

An accurate translation unlike others where there are over 1500 errors in translation plus gives foot notes to understand statements which are historical or based on German culture that would otherwise be misunderstood.

This review is for the translation only. I first tried to read Mein Kampf as a college student. Didn't work. Just to let you know you really need a good understanding not only of Nazi Germany but also of European history to understand Mein Kampf . This version is very readable and well done. To bad people in the 1920's and 1930's didn't read it and take it seriously.

Really?
Still the same censored book. The difference is that the old versions just pulled out the information "they" didn't want people to read about and that made it choppy and made it's credibility questionable. The removal of sentences and paragraphs without making the next paragraph congruent with the previous one makes this reader suspicious that something has been removed. This is still the censored book but they just smoothed it out some to make the thoughts flow in a more realist way. This censored version is much smoother that the previous books. But I don't believe this book is any more honest than the previous versions.

Couldn't be more satisfied
Amazing book that truely changes how you view the world just as the back cover promises. I have not read the entire book just yet. I am currently on Vol. 1 Ch. 10. Page 217. But as far as I have read, it is an extremely interesting books filled with facts, thoughts, opinions, and systematic ideals that you can almost never get the opportunity to process anywhere else. This book also allows Hitler to tell the truth about his life and his ideals which today debunk the many lies spoken about Adolf Hitler. Wether you like, hate, or are indifferent to Adolf Hitler, this book may be interesting to you and will teach you something or many things. I think everyone should at least listen to this book in audio format.
