I yse these on my flat top. Easy to clean.

Thick stainless steel skewer. The spring does keep the skewer not too hot to handle.I order 48 pieces. All of them are very sharp. I had to used a file to make the tip less sharp.About 10 skewers have rough edge. It can be smoothed using a piece of 180 grid sand paper.Overall, not too bad. You can use a bit of elbow grease to make them perfect.

I bought the 24 pack for $20 and based on the price I was worried they would be flimsy or made of low quality metal. After receiving them I was pleasantly surprised to find that they're really well made. The skewer length is perfect, the point is sharp, and the handles look very nice. I hope they'll hold up over time and not rust. Since I've only received them it will be a while before I can tell. In the meantime, I'm very pleased with them.

I did not use yet but they seem well made. Should be much better than wooden skewers on the grill.

These should be classified as "disposable". Perhaps that is why you can purchase so many for such a cheap price. In this case, you get what you pay for. Otherwise, they do their job... for a short time, at least.
