Upoint Cell Phone Air Vent Car Holder Universal Extra Wide Car Mount Black

I loved this cell phone holder because it securely held my Samsung Galaxy S7 on the A/C vents of my work vehicle (2016 Ford Escape). It allowed me to rotate and adjust the direction that the phone pointed very well and could easily be adjusted and secured. However, the rubber covers on the area that inserts into the vent quickly came off of the metal prongs resulting in significant scratches on the insides of the vent. Not very easy to see but, this isn't my personal vehicle and I bought this cell phone holder to help avoid making any modifications or, damaging my company's work vehicle.

Item as described. Works very well with my phone, however, I don't think it expands to 5".

I like the fact that I no longer have to look down at my phone's gsp while driving. Now it is so much easier.

Poor design for support on vent , do not recommend to anyone !!!

I have been needing a car mount for my iPhone, but I have put it off because of much of a hassle most mounts are. Prior to this, I have owned 2 other mounts and I would have to constantly adjust them when I took the phone off the mount or when I would mount my phone. I often just opted for placing my phone in the cupholder. I am totally ecstatic that the Upoint air vent mount is easy to install, I don't have to constantly adjust it, and I can fit my iPhone 6s without having to remove the case. Other features that I am thrilled about is that the mount is sleek, I can rotate it 360 degrees without having to tighten the knob, and it is a seamless transition when switching from an iPhone to an Android device. Further, I thoroughly enjoy the fact that I can use the mount as a phone stand. Often my 5 years old asks to watch Netflix on my phone and he has to lean it against something because I don't have a case with a stand. The mount is small enough that I can fit in my purse in the event that he asks to use my phone for Netflix.Overall I a completely satisfied and happy with the air vent mount. ::I received this product at a discounted rate for a fair and honest review.::

Didn't think about this when I bought it, but my vents rotate (like most people's I'd assume). so horizontal vents are in front and vertical fins are in back. Placing this on the front-facing horizontal fins fits, but when I put the phone into the holder, it rotates down making it effectively useless. I COULD mount it to the 'top' horizontal fin, but still it ends up pointing down since the phone's weight rotates the vent down, and if the air is on, it's also blowing down. Didn't really work the way I wanted.Opted instead to just mount a disk to my dash and use a basic suction mount to that. Yes, there's now a disk glued to my dash, but it's unobtrusive, clear why it's there and works 100% of the time with no effect on viewing angle, weight issues or vent direction.This holder 'works', but since the phone's weight makes it rotate downward, it isn't useful for me.

This mount secures my phone very well, and also holds very tightly onto the vent. It is really nice (and safer!) to have my phone up and stationary, rather than on my lap or bouncing around in my middle compartment. When using GPS I don't have to look down, and when using pandora or another music player I can see whats playing even more easily that looking at the radio display. It still allows the vent to be adjusted, which I would worried about, and doesn't seem to cause any damage to the car, in addition to being easy to place and remove. It can fit a variety of phones, since the right side is adjustable and spring-loaded, and can be put in place with one hand quickly after just a day or so of getting comfortable with it.I received a discount on this product with the understanding that I would review it honestly, whether positively or negatively.
