George Beatty began trading in Ballinamallard in 1979 in the backyard of his fathers grocery and confectionery business. The early days of the business were before the arrival of the fork lift which meant that fuel products such as coal doubles and peat briquettes were delivered directly to the customers door on the Coalmans back.
