Really makes a difference. I have had difficulty with my north facing cold room. Seeds rotting and a long time to germinate. The pad has totally changed this. I now get most seeds germinated in a much shorter time.

What can I say, heats up and sits under the seed trays. Very easy to set up and arrived on time. There is no thermostat or controller but I knew that when I bought it. Seedlings have come up do I'm very happy.

This heating mat has uneven heated area. Unlike other two heating mats I have (different make/brand), this heating mat is not "flat", you can feel heating elements sandwiched between top/bottom mats.

Using it in small porch to raise cucumber, tomatoes, pepper's and sweet peas. Cucumbers sown in rock wool up in two days. But the temp is a bit fierce so I only use at night if day temperature is low then I use a smart plug to switch it on every 15 mins for 5 mins works for me!

I have started using these very first time. in just one week I can see tomato plants have started to germinate.

I have tried out a few different germinators and find this mat very useful. This mat is particularly useful for heating a few small germinating trays at a time and for delicate seedlings. The heat conducts through the trays a little more gently than an electric germinator so good for plants that don't need intensive heat to germinate. For fellow cat owners I recommend not leaving them on the kitchen table as I did or your trays may be pushed aside with a loafing cat on the mat instead.
