Bye-Bye Binky: Big Kid Power

Do it!!
Bought this book to help with taking the bink. At first she hated the book and threw it but as time went on she really understood the text and it helped tremendously with weaning her from her binky. Overall a cute book that definitely helped my child understand being a big girl means no binky!! She’s two for reference.

Helped kick the binky!
My baby was and is and will probably be forever a visual learner so reading this book helped her adopt adopt of not needing the pinky. We read it every night before bed, and it was such a cute book was really good illustration.

Super awesome
Got this book for my 2 year old the day after her birthday. Read it to her and explained how she’s a BIG girl now. She loves the bag that says “IM A BIG KID NOW! ⭐️” any time she asked for her paci, we read the book. No tears! Loved it :)

Great book
I love the idea of this book and I love the replacement ideas like cuddle your lovie, friend, ask for a snack. The only part I don’t like is when it says to give your binky to another baby. That part I don’t think is practical. I like the ending “I’m a big kid.” My daughter repeats that we repeat that when she pees in the potty or takes out her binky.

Empowering book
Our kiddo loved this book and it worked wonders! We loved the message of how big kids don’t need binkies and how when they’re ready they give them to a baby - we changed the language to name a baby we know, and our daughter gave all her binkies to the baby all on her own. This book made it seem like an awesome developmental step for her, not something she had to give up.

Love the Diversity
Love the Diversity of the book. My son is too young to wean off the pacifier yet. But when it is time I will use this book.

Its a cute book... but my 2 ...
Its a cute book... but my 2.5 still has not grasped the concept of letting go of the pacifier. She has taken an interest in reading it and although it stresses that BIG Girls don't need pacifiers - she still won't let it go. I even ask her (as in the book) .Are you a big girl?...She of course says Yes...so then i say Big girls don't need pacifiers (re-iterating the book)...She says No, gets angry and walks away with pacifier. This is going to be tough. Anyways, cute book, but not working on my strong-willed, pacifier-loving little toddler :(

It worked!
This is a fun and simple book that worked for us! We read this every night at bedtime for about 2 weeks. My toddler started repeating lines from the book, then one day she just put down her binky and never picked it up again! 10/10! An easy and low-stress way to give up binky.

Adorable & very helpful!
My toddler loves this book still long after having ditched her pacifier. Clear story that helps motivate little ones.

Celebrates growing up
I like that this book celebrates becoming a big kid by saying bye to the soother (rather than some other books that don’t have such a positive empowering message about giving it up.) My toddler loves it and it really helped prepare him for giving it up! We changed the word binky to soother when we read it for him.

Okay story
Okay story. The suggestion is to give their soother to a random baby
