Our family lives in a rural area, so snakes are nothing new to us. What is new, is when my wife found a 5ft. long King Snake, in the bathroom stretched out across the floor. Previous owners had recalled "copperheads under the house", so to see a King Snake was actually a relief. The snake scurried back down in a crack and into the crawl space (we live in an old farmhouse). So the challenge is, keep the snake out of the house without killing it. Thankfully, there is Snake Defense by Exterminators Choice. Make sure you read the label folks, the instructions and guidelines are there for a reason. We actually have an access inside the house to the crawlspace (old door in the floor). I applied the product in that area first to drive any snakes away from the center of the house. I'll give it a couple more days and then perform a perimeter barrier along the outside of the house. This product is a snake detterant that involves various eco friendly ingredients. The smell is actually somewhat pleasant, and is not overbearing at all. Whether you have a farmhouse such as ours, or a mansion in Beverly Hills, this product is perfectly fine to use on any home. I will provide an update in the coming weeks to relate any new information. I highly recommend this product.

I have not seen a snake in my home since I have used the Snake Replant. I have seen snakes outside of my home, I sprayed the Replant and have not seen a snake lately.

I was skeptical of this product...like don't-tell-anyone-you-bought-it-because-they-will-laugh-at-you skeptical. But gosh darn it, it worked! Now I can't speak for the large infestations of snakes under your house and in the garden shed--those writhing pools of legless horror--but for a handful of garter snakes in a suburban yard, it totally worked. And, based on the ingredient list, clove oil, cinnamon oil, and water this is probably a better value, ounce per ounce, than the essential oils you buy for your aromatherapy diffuser. However, I say that with the caveat that the bottle says not to use for unintended uses and that would be an unintended use. And when your friends saw you putting Exterminator's Choice Snake Defense into your aromatherapy diffuser they might have questions about your good intentions where household air quality was concerned. You would have to explain.

I just recently fully unpacked my box excited to set up some perimeter around my shed on my property along with the general area that we and dogs are most active when at the property....I ordered 3 snake defense jugs and just unboxed to find only 2 snake defense and one rodent defense. I get that rodents attract snakes but it’s not what I ordered so a little disappointed in that. The bottles do have a strong odor to them (which was noted before purchasing from reading the Q&A’s, I was very much expecting it to have an odor) even when they haven’t been opened you can smell it and though it was expected a few hours drive in the car is about as much as I could take so once I got them to the property that’s where they’ll be staying, so returning the incorrect jug probably won’t be happening (dealing with poor air quality with Fire season so windows have to be up and air inside the car recirculated). I should’ve checked all 3 bottles when they arrived (I pulled one out and saw it was what I was expecting so assumed the order was correct) The area I’m covering requires 3jugs so I’ll have to wait to spray it once I get another one so it’s a complete perimeter for ultimate effectiveness. The odor is strong so I’m hopeful it’ll be successful (3 stars are for my optimism but the fact it was incorrect order means I can’t use it until I get another jug and go back up to the property so somewhat of an inconvenience and I’ll happily update my review down the road) but for now we just have to deal with snakes inhabiting the area.

We live in Arizona, so snakes are native to this area. We use this product to deter them from getting too close to our house. So far, it’s been working.

I live in Arizona, where there are a lot of rattlesnakes. Weve had a problem of rattle snakes coming under our back porch steps and a family member recommended this product. We used it hadnt had a snake for about 4 months and were confident it was doing its job. We had a few rains and I ordered a gallon to respray after finding a baby rattlesnake in the yard ( thought it had worn off). I sprayed around our whole yard. And sprayed an exceptional amount under our stairs and was feeling great about it. Not even a week later our dogs were out in the yard and a rattle snake was back under our stairs and bit my dog. I was so happy to think this stuff worked but I obviously have learned through trial and error you cannot depend on this to keep snakes out. Your best bet, which we have invested in, is putting up the snake fencing 1/4th inch mesh. Wish there was a better solution but this clearly failed us and I want to let others know that this does not do the job so dont count on it or depend on it. I really hope this review helps, I think this is the first review I have given on a product on Amazon, because after a hectic and expensive vet bill, I felt it was important for others to know.
