1. While adequate for an adult, it might not be the right fit for a kiddo. A child might need a larger work/fabric surface. But maybe not 🤷🏼‍♀️2. The hoop is plastic (I prefer wooden ones) and while it’s the correct size to display the final project, it’s too small to use to work in. You can’t easily access the outer edge of the image. I had to readjust placement multiple times throughout the project.3. Despite others complaints, I actually ended up with a surplus of yarn. Nearly enough to make the project twice. The yarn is also soft and nice to handle.4. The instructions were junk. Keep them to use the photo for reference, but do yourself a favor and find a tutorial online instead.5. Some reviews mentioned the large holes the needle left in the fabric. Yea, it does. It’s a large needle to punch through the fabric to accommodate the yarn size. If you need to backtrack, you can just scratch the fabric around the hole back into place.6. There were other complaints about the needle threader (the long wire piece) breaking. Well, the ends are just taped together. You can simply add more tape. If the wire actually BROKE, you’re probably not using it correctly.7. Lastly, the needle is poor quality, but it got me through the project and for less than $10 for the whole kit, it was adequate.

This is turning out beautiful, but wow, this was a terrible 1st punch embroidery to do.1) I finally gave up and had to use YouTube to even understand HOW to do this. The directions completely skip this step. There are no tips and tricks. So this workaround was manageable, just annoying.2) THERE IS NO PATTERN. I had to take a screen shot of the picture on Amazon and then used it on my phone to try and figure out where to put all of the different colors. And once you get into the swirls of the sky -- well, let's just say, if you are a perfectionist, this is not for you. This has been very frustrating, and overwhelming for me at times. Was I able to do it? Yes. Would I ever wish this on someone? No.In summary, if you know what you are doing, and you are okay with just winging it - go for it. If you want a template to follow, stay away. I am only giving this 4 stars because I am loving how it is turning out -- but it's taking me forever.
