This might make a fine planter if the pots weren’t metal and the unit was a little bigger.I only planted rosemary and mint and both started dying within a couple of days. I’ve had indoor herb gardens with 50 plus herbs and they thrived, and you normally can’t kill mint or rosemary as it grows in almost any conditions.When I saw all of it was dying I pulled the pots out and the water had turned a coffee color but no rust on the bottom of the pot. I used other soils and no difference. Some kind of toxin is coming from some place.I have other herbs and they are doing quite well in the same area, so I can only assume it may be the pots.Anyway, I’m returning it and just sticking to my old ways of herb growing.

I loved the look and style of the farm style window planter box. However, when it arrived two out of the three tin planters were rusted and in terrible condition, and should not have been sold. The wood frame is in good condition. It's not worth the hassle of returning it. I will not be purchasing again from the seller nor was it worth the money I spent. In process of finding two tin planters that will fit.

This is so cute and so perfect for my spices in my kitchen. Purchased another to grow more :).
