My youngest son loves raccoons and Mario so this was a must buy for his 5th birthday. I got the face. You know that face loved ones make when you get them the perfect gift? Yep, Dada for the win! Anyways in 3.2 seconds he tore open the package as I shouted "No it's a collector's item. You need to keep that toy mint in package until your 30 and decide to sell it at collector value with will likely be equal to or 20% current retail value". He paid me no attention and was bouncing Tanooki Mario around the living room playing with the kind of pure joy that a collector could never recover enough value to equal.So as a toy this item is perfect. I think it superior to most Mario themed figures because it has 12 (twelve) points or articulation. Meaning it can move and rotate it's joints to be posed and played with in countless ways. Get it while you can and enjoy it for goodness sakes.

My 9 year old has quite an extensive collection of World of Nintendo toys. The 4 inch figures are the ones we get for him. They can be a tad pricey, compared to other "action figures". But he plays with them on the daily and even his first figures that he's had for a few years, have held up to all the play.Tanooki Mario is one of his coolest figures. Its super posable and has a good weight to it. The detail and quality is impressive, so if you're buying this just to collect, I'd definitely recommend it.As far as a a playable toy, it really can't be beat either. We've always been happy with out World of Nintendo figures.

My little brother loved it. As a four year old he usually is one to break the smaller not movable Mario toys, but since it has adjustable joints it’s perfect!!
