It was a sad day when they were no longer part of PBS
For people that don't experience wildlife on a regular basis these episodes explain the truth as opposed to the way wild animals are portrayed in movies and TV shows. People that really want to understand wildlife should view and learn. What your told by most "animal rights groups" has no basis in fact. Having lived in and owned rural property in Wyoming, Nevada, Utah and Colorado we get to see wildlife as it really is. This series will get you as close as possible at home. It was a sad day when they were no longer part of PBS.

Great series, low video quality
Bought it for my girlfriend, she loved the show growing up as well as I did.We both enjoyed it but be aware that the video quality is very poor compared to today's standards. It's basically like watching a VHS tape.The throwback look was cool at first but I was disappointed to see that they hadn't re-mastered the originals into 1080P. It has such good content it's a shame it wasn't done properly. Since this is the only way to buy it I guess that's all you get, if anyone has a link to a high-def version that would be great to know.

Good material, but when it arrived
Good material, but when it arrived, the dvds were loose in the cases. So, 1 does not work properly due to being scratched during shipping.

Highly recommended!
My husband fondly remembers watching Wild America with his dad, so we ordered these for our nine-year-old animal lover. They are great educational entertainment! There is quite a lot of evolutionary viewpoint with which we disagree, but we are happy for the opportunity to explain why we believe the Biblical Creation account to be true. Highly recommended!
