I can’t even review whether or not the crate would hold a dog. Just taking it out of the box it was falling apart. The plastic on it is so flimsy, it won’t hold the screws. Several corners of the sides had snapped off during shipping as well. It’s super cute in the pic and I so wanted it to work, but it’s absolute garbage.

I recently purchased the Homestead Sliding Barn Door Furniture Style Dog Crate, and I'm quite pleased with it overall. Assembly was mostly straightforward, and while it came with tools, I opted to use a power drill to speed up the process. I was able to put it together all by myself, which was a definite plus.One of the standout features of this crate is its aesthetic appeal. It looks incredibly cute in my home and is a significant upgrade from my old metal crate. I've even repurposed it to hold plants and other decorative items, making it both functional and stylish.However, there are a few drawbacks worth mentioning. The material is more plastic-like than I anticipated, but surprisingly, it's not very noticeable once assembled. The sliding door can be a bit sticky at times, but I've found that keeping it open resolves the issue for me. Additionally, the interior dimensions are slightly off, which means my dog's bed is a tad too big for the space.Despite these minor issues, I'm overall impressed with the Homestead Sliding Barn Door Crate. It adds a charming touch to my apartment, and most importantly, my dog seems to really enjoy it. The value you get for the price is definitely worth it; as they say, you get what you pay for. If you're looking for a crate that combines style and functionality, this one is definitely worth considering.

So far I like the look, fits my dogs (55lbs & 70lbs), it was pretty simple to put together but one of them came with a broken track which is needed for the door to shut and also has the missing handle piece to close the door all the way.

This is made of the cheapest quality materials and when it was unboxed we found that it was broken. Customer Service for the company refused to answer their phones though they were in the office. Had to get a hold of them via email. All this to find out that they are completely out of stock of the broken pieces and do not know when they will be in stock. So the kennel is unusable. Don't waste your money on this piece of rubbish.

I had mixed feelings about ordering this crate. The reviews weren't that great. But I have a calm sweet frenchie who's been crate trained from the beginning. So he has no issues when he's in there. He's not a monster who chews his way out. He sits, lays, or chews on his toy till it's time to come out. He won't even bark or whine when being put in.I do think this is a very sturdy crate. Even if he tried, he couldn't get out. We are able to use the top as an end table with potted plants too.My only complaint is the barn door is difficult to slide open and closed on the carpet. If you want a smooth glide to that door, try placing the crate on something first. Like a sheet of plywood if it needs to be on carpet. If you are on hardfloors, it will be a breeze.I would buy this again, I've been very happy with the purchase. Doggo included.

looks nice and serves the purpose. it is made cheaply though and has plastic screws. it’s a challenge to assemble.

I purchased this crate in March 2022. Assembly was easy, no issues. It looks nicer than a typical wire crate and my dog seems comfortable in it.So I decided to buy a second crate in October 2023 and it’s been a completely different experience. First the front panel / door assembly was wonky; the door would not close all the way, or latch. The company sent me new panels, which fixed that issue. Now, I cannot insert the side panel into the front panel because the slot is too small. The plastic pieces are bent inward and cannot be adjusted because everything is glued in place.I’ve wasted too many hours trying to get this thing assembled, and it’s too late to return. It’s trash at this point. Extremely frustrating experience.

It is a composite material like a pvc fence. Had two panels cracked when unboxed- tons of styrofoam- so I don’t think it was due to shippingThe “screws” were plastic and the holes that were supposed to be threaded were not in 5 locations. We literally used packing tape to get this thing together.Fortunately, our 10 month old puppy is only 15 pounds and not aggressive with his crate. This thing is NOT worth the $300+ we paid for it. It fits in the space we need it to and fits the aesthetic… but man is this thing crappy quality.It fits in an IKEA 22x39 Pax closet… if it’s a few bit off the back wall.

Side walls came with a manufacturing defect preventing the floor from being installed correctly. After I fixed that with some bolts from the home Depot. my 8 pound puppy was able to break the door within the first 5 minutes of being in the crate. Glued that back together but you'd think something made for a "large dog" could handle a 3 month old pup..

Absolutely over priced and horrible customer service

Like the crate, it fits in like a piece of furniture. It is a little loud; when our guy wants out, he dances in it which every one in the neighborhood can hear him 🙄. Would purchase again if you are going to long term crate your dog.
