Subpar.
I'm a Harvard grad, SAT Math Level 2 perfect 800 scorer, private tutor since 2002, and the founder/moderator of the r/SATsubjectTests subreddit, with over 2,000 subscribers and growing.Mr. Mike Barrett, anonymous internet huckster and author of the hyperbolic "SAT Math 2 Prep Black Book: The Most Effective SAT Math Level 2 Strategies Ever Published," would clearly like you to think that he knows the secret to acing the SAT Math Level 2 Subject Test.Well, he clearly doesn't. Barrett's book is little more than a rambling, disorganized collection of general study tips, test-taking advice, and explanations to selected Math 2 questions. It doesn't even come close to covering 100% of the material covered on the exam, and it's not worth the $20 price tag.In order to fully prepare for this challenging math exam, you would be much better served by completing the 14+ official SAT Math Level 2 exams that are floating around the internet (Google "Math Level 2 Dubai Tests") and simply reviewing the mistakes yourself, using both official and crowdsourced answer keys.Best of luck on your SAT Math Level 2 and beyond.

Another Great "Black" Book
My students and I have benefitted much from this author's other "Black" books, so I was excited to order this one right when it came out. The math 2 subject test is one of the best ones for many kids to take, but also has reputation for being one of the hardest. Every year, I get people who excel in their math classes and want to go into the STEM fields, but they cannot figure out how to score 800 on this test.In this book, Barret out-does himself. He gives you the best advice for this specific test, instead of just repeating the same generalized advice that most sources give for all tests. He covers some tips for calculator usage that I have never seen in other places. Intelligent time management, rounding and back-solving are also topics that he covers more thoughtfully and in more detail than you can find anywhere else. He breaks down question design in this book similar to the way he does in his other books, by showing you how to think in terms of patterns and rules when you see a question. To finish the first part of the book he pulls everything together in a step-by-step procedure for dealing with any question. Then, in the second half of the book, Barrett actually goes through every single test question from the released practice tests. He shows exactly how to deal with each question, not just in one way, but in at least 2 ways, sometimes in 4 or 5 ways. This gives a very complete picture of how the test can be handled by all kinds of testers. Highly recommended.

Great prep book. Better than all other subject test prep books. I hope that more books are made for other subjects.
