I returned this mirror. The LCD Screen is very difficult to see even using the brightest setting. Didn't work as a back up camera because the image wasn't bright enough especially in the daylight. The default settings are not in English so I wouldn't recommend resetting to the default settings because it's difficult to find the setting for English. The user manual has very little information on installing and using the camera. I wasn't able to see the recordings because of how dim the LCD Screen was so I don't know how well it recorded. I would not recommend buying this mirror.I'm glad to see that other customers have had a good experience with this mirror. I purchased this mirror because of its features. Before I wrote my first review I contacted the seller by email about the problem I was having with this mirror but I never got any help with why the mirror didn't work as described nor did the seller offer to replace or warranty the mirror with one that worked properly.

Worked fine until I parked in the sun for 6 hours (80-85 degree day). From then on it would periodically shut off while I was driving (presumably when it started to get warm). Seller kept giving me the run around. First I needed a firmware update that did nothing. Then it was supposedly not installed correctly or there were supposedly problems with a voltage supply. I hooked it up correctly and my multi-meter said the source was ok. It also worked flawlessly until being in the sun. To rule out the power source I took it out of my car and connected it to a 12 volt dc adapter in my home. Same thing happened. Then the seller sent me another update and continued to stall / divert. Seller never made it right and now I've got a useless dash cam.

As far as the features go, there's no other rear view mirror with integrated dash cam on the market at this price point that actually replaces your current rear view mirror that's better than this one. If you spend hours flipping through the options like I did, you'll notice the DOZENS of options for that clamp onto your current rear view mirror, but if you want to actually replace your current mirror, this is by far the best way to go.
