Absolutely Wonderful!!! Very easy to rebuild my Polaris
My Polaris 280 had not been performing for some time. I had replaced several basic parts but it did not work properly. I researched buying a new Polaris but didn’t want to spend the money. A friend told me that he rebuilt his Polaris and got the kit off of Amazon. I was so excited that I found the kit and I rebuilt my Polaris as soon as the package arrived. The YouTube instruction video was very easy to follow and I had it done in no time. My Polaris is now working as if it were new! Great value and an absolute slam dunk!

Revived my Polaris
This kit works great. Very easy to rebuild Polaris. I did have a problem with a gear being assembled backwards, but I talked to the vender and the response was very promptly and they shipped out the correct part. Highly recommended

"Tune up kit" for a Polaris 280..... it works
Purchased this "tune up kit" for my Polaris 280 (we call it Yoda) that broke a wheel off so might as well change out some other worn parts. It took about 15-20 minutes reviewing the existing and unscrewing parts off to then be able to start replacing wheels and other parts. You will want to be careful in doing some of this since you are primarily dealing with plastic parts that can break with over twisting, screwing etc. took about 50 minutes to an hour to install everything (again, I took my time). Overall the installation was pretty simple; the instructions provided are pretty worthless, but it does have a link to a video that I didn't watch either because tearing it apart I figured out what when where. I didn't replace the drive shaft because the one still attached was in good working condition. So like others recommended I would wait until you have your unit apart before deciding whether or not to get a new one.The overall quality of the parts in this kit seem pretty decent. I too give it a 4 stars instead of 5 is because the threads on the screw that holds the wheels on are terrible and easily will strip. A hint though when putting these on is use a penny/dime or something more longer and flat edge vs a flat head screwdriver. DO NOT tighten these with your fingers you will cut yourself. I read this from another post and didn't and completely agree with him on these suckers are sharp. I ended up using most all my old screws and having a little parts left over for when I have to repair it again. I also agree on the bag that came with it but its a spare from my recent zipper bag I bought 6 months ago with the velcro. It works and functional.

Great 280 Rebuild Kit
It arrived the same day within 3 hours from purchasing. All the pieces where there ready to overhaul. No need to buy any additional parts. Bob is working great...LOL . The price was right.

Great rebuild kit.
I wasn't planning on getting this as I thought I only needed 2 tires for my 280. When I saw what the tires cost it made sense to get this rebuild kit. The video and instructions were great and after rebuilding the 280 I needed more than tires. The 280 operates better than when it was new. Fingers crossed it stays that way.

shocked that it worked this well!
The media could not be loaded. this was a last ditch effort since i could not afford $500+ for a new sweeper. it was easy after seeing a youtube video on how to install it. i can't believe it made this much difference, this thing is zipping all over the pool now, even climbs the steps. i just can't explain why it worked. the old gears & wheels seemed to turn and function when i pushed them manually but it would just stay in one spot. there was a little salt build-up (salt water system) but it didn't seem that bad to me. i still don't understand it but super happy with the results!
