Tonique Sculpt Dynamics combines my intense passion for dance and fitness, designed around the core principles of Tonique. First, to utilize moves that engage the entire body and work your core at all times; second, to include sexiness that will enable you to reach your inner self, feel free, let go of your insecurities and become a more confident person; and finally, to incorporate the high number of repetitions that is a Tonique trademark. Tonique Sculpt Dynamics is a nonstop mix of dance & sculpt and is your tool to get sweaty and build an amazing butt and legs. Its focus is on sculpting and cardiovascular endurance, not on choreographed steps. Tonique Sculpt Dynamics maximizes the results from your workout, increasing your fitness level as you teach yourself to control each move, and to be in tune with your body. Tonique Sculpt Dynamics provides "Me Time" to relax your mind and allow your body to move without constraints, but with total control and sexuality. I want you to focus on yourself and how your body feels during the moves. You must engage your entire body - your core, arms, legs - as well as your mind. Tonique Arm Dynamics is on a separate disc, but is a continuation of Tonique Sculpt Dynamics. In this part of the workout, I still want you to move nonstop, staying in place but engaging and moving your legs and your core; keep your stomach in and focus on rotations. Again, it is very important to control each move, be fast but maintain your form. Don't throw your arms around; instead control each move.

Fun workout, get it for the second arm only DVD alone!
This is a really fun workout. If you feel in a dancing mood but still want to sculpt and burn a few calories this is a great workout. The second DVD that is arm only is really really effective. Light weight high rep to build small muscles. You will really feel the burn with 3 lb weights.

Amazingly fun workout!
I just did this workout this morning. It is so much fun! Be warned though, there is a lot of jumping. I hit 'play all' and just went with it. She works you to fatigue where I felt like giving up and then starts jumping dance moves that actually relieves the burn but keeps the heart rate up. My boyfriend popped in to check on me and he said "you look like you're having fun!" I really was. I don't try to dance around like she does...I'm not the dancey sort! But I just kept jumping and doing my own thing and looked in the mirror and just started laughing! Hey! It's my "me time" as Sylwia always says. I got to about the 90 minute mark and simply had to stop. I was so sweaty and tired. My boyfriend and I went for a hike later and I was already feeling it! I have not done the second disc yet but plan on doing it tomorrow. I love that this can be broken up and I can do as much as I want and know that I will get a great workout every time. I love the studio setting and the music and I just love Sylwia. I have several of her DVD's and have 2 of her mat workouts coming soon. I love that her workouts challenge me and since I have started them I have had to make modifications at first but as I have kept at it I am gaining the strength and endurance to do more and more. I have plenty of workout DVD's, but I have found myself gravitating toward Tonique when I am selecting my daily tape. I just know that she will kick my butt sufficiently and I always feel great, tired, but great when I'm done. And, yes, absolute results! My caboose had been heading in the southern direction (I'm 42 and very active but age does do a number on you!). Since I've been doing these workouts my whole body looks better than I did when I was in my 20's! No lie! She does hard core strength and endurance training for sure! Simply put, I can not say enough great things about Sywia's workouts! She is tough and I am inspired by her!Hey! Me again! I just did the arm workout today. Ah, I'm sore right now and typing this is a bit of a challenge! Sort of kidding, but really, I liked the workout very much. You use 2 lb. weights and it is very aerobic and my arms were blazing and I needed to shake them out on occasion so I could continue. She loves her repetitions! I will reiterate the fun factor in this one. Grooving out and working it! If I do not do one of Sylwia's workouts daily I feel at a total loss. Oh, and yes, I was pretty sore this morning from doing the first tape yesterday. Today I did one of Tonique 2 and then this arm workout. Great and effective stuff!!

Give this workout video a chance!
This is the type of workout I have been wanting. I do Tracy Anderson Dance Cardio I, and didn't want to take the time to learn dance cardio II. I have Zumba videos, but they are not challenging enough. So the day I received this dvd, I pushed play on my DVD player, and went about my day. I watched the dvd as I was doing household chores, and dealing with my young children. My children call this video, "the crazy lady workout!" :) This is my first Sylwia dvd. While watching it, I thought it looked boring. I read many reviews before purchasing this workout. I decided to prepare myself for a month before actually ordering this. So, I worked out every day of the month prior, and did my toughest dvd workouts, Jeri Love Bootcamp, Amy Dixon Breathless Body, Tracy Anderson Dance Cardio, Jillian Michaels etc....A couple days after I received it, I pressed "play all" and went for it. So, I had to stop briefly, several times throughout the video, but I did make it through the entire thing. I was very sore. I then sulked, poor me. :( I am not as strong as I thought. So I came up with a plan. I am doing parts of this workout at least every other day, and doing toning mat work, Physique 57 or Tracy Anderson Mat on alternating days. For me, the toughest part of this dvd, are the kicks while bouncing on the opposite leg. These are extremely challenging for me (but I am getting better at them.) I now, have greater appreciation for Vegas show girls, and the Dallas Cowboy Cheerleaders! :))) My goal is to get stronger and stronger and eventually be able to do the entire 1st video, with minimal stops. It is very high impact. It is not boring, it is actually quite fun. I think Sylwia does a good job making the moves flow nicely. It can't be easy coming up with two hours of dance/sculpt moves, that do not use weights, and do not involve a complicated routine. The second video is a good arm workout, with cardio as well, it is unique and fun. This is definitely a challenging workout. However, I encourage intermediate exercisers to give it a shot too, you can always get stronger little by little. This is unique and efficient. Sylwia's beautiful, toned physique is so inspiring. I personally appreciate that she does not have implants, she doesn't need them, and neither did TA. I plan on getting the Born to Move dvd next. I think it would be cool if Sylwia made a video with a class setting. I think some people enjoy working out with more of a group type setting, with people to watch other than just the instructor.

fairly hard
I could get through the first 20 min and just couldn't do anymore. I don't consider this Dance but just repetitive movements fairly quickly. Even after only 20 min it was difficult to walk for 4 days. I usually do cardio for about 30 min 4 times a week. I'm going to keep but do it when I feel I have a lot of energy.

Aight
Its difficult to describe this DVD. It's 2hours of workout time, divided into 6 chapters. It does have energy but lots of repetition. There is a ton of lower body work, most of the moves are dance inspired squats and lunges. There is a good rhythm or vibe to the DVD. I do like mixing the chapters on the DVD to fit my workout. The first 3 chapters are 15-20 minute workouts, so you can do two chapters for 30 minutes or three for 40. This is a challenging workout. I do recommend starting slow and there is a schedule available online if you have more Tonique workouts to create a workout system.ETA:After using some of Tonique DVDs I will say this is my favorite. It is free form in a lot of the movements but Tonique is heavy on the lower body. This DVD has a lot of squats, lunges, courtesy lunges, leg lifts in fun dance movements. This DVD also comes with a separate 42min. Arms workout with light weights. It was some of the free form dance moves [jazz, hip hop] with weights. It was so different and engaging that I did 30mins of the DVD upon first viewing. Also, Tonique website offers ways to use this DVD as a part of workout system. Her DVDs are more of the advanced level.
