Need More....
UGH! I really dislike when a book ends like that and I have to wait for the other books in the series to be released. Make sure you check to see if the rest are out before you start reading. Wish I had. 😩

Too Long for Cliffhangers
The synopsis of this book intrigued me. The story itself was entertaining, and I enjoyed the world the author created and the main characters. The h was a bit dramatic at times, but that's to be expected considering her background.Unfortunately, the book did not include a cliffhanger warning. I was disappointed to encounter it after reading more than 400 pages. Despite that, I was willing to continue reading the story, until I realized it's spread across five books. 2000 pages of one couple's story is a greater time investment than I'm wiling to make.

Not much Potential
The potential is there but it needs some serious work. The H is annoying and the h is an idiot. The H is supposed to be centuries old but he didn’t evolve with time? The h is just naive and stupid. The storyline has potential but not much

Not very good
It was too all over the place. Hard to follow and I never connected with Valentine at all. Wish I liked it, but I just didnt and certainly wont purchase any follow up books.

CLIFFHANGER...
Nothing in the synopsis said this was a cliffhanger. Shame on me for failing to read the reviews and shame on Ms. Klaus for deceiving her readers. Not cool. This was a good plot with interesting characters and a growing mystery. I liked Mera and her stubborn tenacity to refuse Valentine Sargon (the Vamp King’s) advances. Mera’s once burned twice shy attitude mixed with healthy doses of anger (towards him) and memories of his mortifying public humiliation he intentionally inflicted upon her keeps her will strong. The hidden supernatural world this author depicts is conveyed with intelligent word choices making it easy to understand. This story is about mysterious assassins targeting Mera for unknown reasons, and her life being turned upside down with Valentine reinserting himself back into her life. Despite how much I enjoyed this story, it’s not enough to compel me to continue. There ARE a few editing issues: ie; misspellings and punctuation but nothing that will derail reading pace. And it’s unfortunate that it’s told from only one POV. All that aside, it doesn’t matter that this story was a freebie, or how much I enjoyed the plot. The cliffhanger made me feel duped. I’m done.

An absolute treat for vampire/supernatural fans!!!
Well it's official, I've found a new favorite series 😉. This was definitely a new take on vampires, witches, and the supernatural world overall. It centers around a young woman born a witch with no power, also known as a "neutral". Healing from a devastating event from her past, she's determined to make a life for herself. She keeps feeling like someone or something is following her, but surely it's her imagination. After all there are zero reasons for that to be the case. Not all is at is seems, and we slowly begin to see the fire within her blossoming. I can't wait to see what's next in this series filled with magic, intrigue, deception, love, family, and Hidden mysteries. This book drew me in immediately, and I'm really excited to see what the second book will reveal.

Wow!
Poor Mera! I can’t imagine the fear she faces, just for being who and what she is. There’s so many questions that need answered, and so much of Mera’s origins are up in the air. I’m wondering if she’s the child of two fires, and that could be why she’s so strong, and I’m wondering if her Aunt is a good guy or a bad guy still. The whole Valentine situation is FUBAR, and I can’t wait to see what happens next!Great Story!

A wonderful world of supernatural beings
Mera, a non-magical supernatural, has spent the past three years with humans to avoid the humiliation suffered at the hands of Valentine, vampire king and council member. As the story progresses her past continues to haunt her, danger comes into her life, and if she cannot get to the truth her life will be forfeit. Bella Klaus created a wonderful world of supernatural beings that have various powers and attributes that live hidden from humans. It will be interesting to see where she takes Mera from here.I received a free copy of the book from the author. I had the opportunity to review or not.

Five books in this series at 3.99! Drawn out! RIP OFF!
This book could have been amazing as I loved the storyline, but I’m not paying £3.99 for the second book and third and the fourth and the fifth!!!! It’s too drawn out. It could have been written in one book but it was drawn out so it can carry on. What a shame. If this book was finished in one or two I would give it five stars!

This series is going to be addictive!!!
Welcome to your new Addiction! This is a really good Paranormal Romance read full of twist and turns which in themselves create some surprises that you just don't see coming.Mera is a great character broken but strong at the same time whilst Valentine is Broody and i expect that the book 2 will define his character further he has definately captured my attentionWell written and despite a couple of reviews a really good storey line, something tells me that if the stories were crammed together they would have been complaining that the book was rushed. For me I appriciate the time and effort that this author has put in to developing her characters and world building and don't think it was drawn out at all. It's a very well written balanced storey line that will draw you in and the first few books are a rapid release so any cliff hangers really are not an issue when the next book release is only a week or so away.

hmm okay
Overall i liked the way the author wrote her style or ease of reading. however right from the beginning even though the vamp king was very handsome/attractive but i was put off as we usually are in a enemies to lover story line. however in this book it isnt really enemies to lovers. We had the build of why we hate the vamp king but instead of him changing to be someone better for her or i cant quite describe the feeling of a lack of something that made him see like a good choice for our FMC:SPOILER/rant :D : All that happened is that we find that all along someone implanted false memories in her that made him seem the baddy. but still the feeling of how he was portrayed was still there, it didnt magically disappear because he told her that. also it was hard to believe that all of a sudden something that she believed for 3 yrs was wrong/ a misunderstanding. how do we know he's telling her the truth /why would she believe him straight away jump into bed with him straight after. Also the whole time he was just hiding the answers to the FMC (female main character) questions that would have solved everything for no reason at all. which overall left a bad taste in my mouth and just made me really want any of the other guys mentioned in passing to be the FMC love interest, even the cat (LOL not really) all except Jonathon. Also with over 400 pages one would hope for some more story development/ progress and ive just read the blurbs for the following to books and it seems that the issues raised towards the end of the book (it also ended in a cliff hanger) havent been solved by book three. It feels like this book hasnt had a proper ending, its almost like a beginning of a book which will continue in the next books without the typical beginning, middle and end in each book, just one continuos book/story. additionally there was alot of description on how the world/buildings looked which i didnt mind.In terms of buying the next book, i was is two minds about getting the next one because i enjoyed the story that didnt have him in it, but it really came down to the fact that i didnt like the vamp king as love interest (not that there's any others). i doubt i would read this again.I would have rated the book a 2.5 but i enjoyed readability of the authors writing, if that makes sense. I like how she writes the book but not the characters. So i would def be open to reading a different series of her.

Needs an overhaul. Poor.
I liked the blurb and the idea of the story. Unfortunately the quality of the writing is poor. It didn't flow and things happened that just didn't make any sense. It needs editing and reorganising.

A fab read
I don't knw what I was expecting, but after reading some of the less flattering reviews, I was not expecting this book to be as good as it was.I enjoyed this read a lot, I'm currently nose deep in book 2 and enjoying it immensely. The main characters grow as the book progresses, all is not what is seems and i cannot wait to read through the rest of this series. This is my first read from this author, and her writing style, imagination and attention to character detail, without dragging it all out or rushing things to quick are fab.I look forward to reading more from this author
