The sole purpose of buying this one is because it's stated as easy install and being a fairly young Mom with a hubby rarely home I decided to make things easier and purchase this one.It is truly is SIMPLE to install and takes 5-10 minutes tops. Someone left a review that stated that the door wont shut because it's too short to reach the latch. Nooooo.. When you tighten the pressure mount you had one side over more and if you loosen that one mount before getting it tight that brings the door closer to the latch and you know when it's right because the red turns green and tighten the other side. Very simple and a simple error that takes seconds to correct.. I promise.. I'm the idiot who can't put much of anything together and had this up in minutes so if I can do it anyone can. You don't have to screw holes in the wall, it's all pressure mounted and takes minutes to set up. You don't have to put anything together unless you need to add the extension which looks easy. You just place the mounts in, no tools needed and tighten to the wall. It is heavy duty white metal besides the latch parts and parts to connect the extension. I have never owned a gate but it seems super sturdy, I didn't use the extension as we have a super narrow door frame that this went in. We have an older home and this went on my sons entrance to his room which is more narrow then any room in the home including the bathroom. It's probably the length of a lot of closet doors but measures 29". It says for entrances 28" plus but we had a few inches to spare so it may fit 27" frames but I would go by the measurements of 28" inches plus in the description to be sure. I read a couple reviews that states hard to open but this wasn't an issue at all for me. Days I have carpal tunnel I can still open it fine so I assume a few got bad mechanisms or they recently fixed the issue.Positives: Door can swing both waysIt's super easy to walk through, very large opening compared to others I've seen online. (I enclosed a picture, sorry about the mess) others seems crazy tight and that's a huge positive for me with this gate. It's very easy to walk through. You only lose about 2 inches from your entrance unlike most.Easy to install.Easy to open with one hand.Seems sturdy and durable.Pressure mount, no tools needed and no damage to door frames.Cons:Price is higher then others. I paid $45 and Amazon went up on the price by $5 in one week. Update: It's back down again.Door doesn't swing shutBaby doesn't like it so far which I'm sure would be the same with any gates but we only use it when necessary .. 😳I have no other gates to compare this one to but all in all I'm super pleased with it and would definitely buy this one again. :)

We foster herding dogs for a rescue and sometimes need to keep dogs separate to keep the energy in the house in check. I did not like the idea of paying $100+ for an extra tall baby gate for the wide entry way to our kitchen. Especially considering most of these are made cheaply in China. But this one is simple, easy to install and a nice height. Our opening is 45" wide so it's nearly maxed on the width it covers. Adding all the extension pieces does give it a bit of a flimsy feel if pushing on it. So if your dogs are in the habit of pushing or standing and leaning on the gate then there may be durability issues. And that's the only reason I gave it 4 stars on sturdiness. If the bottom rail was a taller rectangular tube it might act as more of a stiffener. But as with all things with our dogs it's more about the training than the tool. So our dogs have gotten use to being separated by a pen, crate or gate through positive behavior shaping and Relaxation Protocol. My favorite things about the gate are that it can open either direction and can be stopped in either direction via the little tabs on the bottom. It also operates very quietly to let sleeping dogs and spouses lie. The sliding safety button on the top makes unlatching and latching a little fussy. I'm sure with time it would become a task relegated to muscle memory for us. But since our dogs aren't toddlers with busy little fingers, I removed the safety button on top. This makes it even simpler to operate. Removing it is easy enough if you are handy and can pay attention to how the two springs go in when they come flying out. And believe me they will so pay attention. Take out the button and the spring and store them for later if you need them, it's a reversible operation. You can add a dab of grease to the slope on the bottom latch button for smoother operation too. Do not do the above if you have children. Another tip is to rest the gate on at least 3/4" thick, or 1x, scrap lumber. The stop fingers on the bottom can catch on rugs or uneven floors when they are down if you rest the gate completely on the ground when installing.

We bought this gate for our grandson, and it does exactly what its advertised to do. It is sturdy, secure and easy to lock and unlock. This model is much less expensive than others, yet it does the job adequately. We're very happy with this purchase.

Me gustó que no daña las paredes o donde se instala y es muy fácil de instalar siguiendo las instrucciones.Flexibilidad para ajustarlos a diferentes tamaños según las necesidades, y bastante resistente.Yo lo compré para mi perro (un Border Collie cachorro), y me ha funcionado perfectamemte.Sólo hay que acostumbrarse a cómo abrir la puerta (que está sobre todo diseñada para que niños pequeños no la abran).

The product is described as extra tall and extra wide. Whilst it is tall, it isn’t actually extra wide. It comes in four pieces, which is deceitful as I would have bought a different product had I known it wasn’t all one “extra wide piece”. We needed one that was one solid piece so it wouldn’t be wobbly. We already had a gate that wasn’t stable and that’s why we wanted an extra wide gate that was one piece. Other than that, the gate itself seems like good quality.
